None. The only other language that is even remotely useful where I am is Spanish and I already know enough to be understood. Everyone else is learning English. Feels good being born into by far the most dominant global language.
>/eastasia/ might count
I know enough english to speak/write it and on top of that I know another language(swedish) and with that knowledge I can understand both norwegian and danish, maybe even icelandic if I really try.
What did I miss out on by not being born in the US/UK/Australia etc?
>I want them sweet simpsons memes
no, you don't
>"learn how to be rich with these quick seven steps" kind of shit
serious uestion: why not just focus on learning a language well and then learning the others? what's the point in knowing a little bit of many languages if you acn't speak any
As to OP's question: i'm learning french i want to pass the DELF c1 exam this year
I'm not learning it all at once; I'm mostly focusing on French at the moment. I know enough to mostly understand online Encyclopedia articles and can carry on a small conversation. I can post in the /fr/ thread and not get pointed out as a silly American.
I rarely see this general, and even then it's uncommon to see any Mandarin.
I wish there was some kind of Mandarin general, but it seems like not enough people on this board speak it ;-;
