short mexifucks on every corner trying to push some hooker cards, place stinks like shit mixed with burned petrol, sky is purple in the evenings and ppl are rude.

also, you can't win there

but i love that place
>>

I live here.

Basically it's an adult Disneyland. A lot of boxing and MMA, autosports, rodeos conventions, etc. If you like poker, there's action going on 24/7
>>
>>53941783
On strip, everything is expensive and everyone is trying to make money off you but you can do basically whatever you want if you have money.

Off Strip, everyone is Filipino or Mexican and there are strip malls everywhere. Huge immigrant population and lots of old white people who move here for the weather. Cheap apartments but there's no actual night life for locals so it's boring as fuck.

All the bars have video card games at the bar though, so sometimes I'll just walk over to the bar next to my apartment complex and play video blackjack for awhile, getting drunk on free beers.
>>
>>53945085
I can't even remember the last time i bought anything on the strip other than dollar beers at the Casino Royale.
>>
>>53944930
my sister works at Caesar's Palace and she says you guys don't use cash at all, and that it's so hot nobody ever goes outside and you order food online.

Sounds bretty sad desu, but she's filthy rich now so what do I know.
>>
>>53945214
My friend was in town so I was over there gambling with him. I usually stop and grab beers at the little bodegas near Planet Hollywood.

>>53945291
People use vouchers and chips in the casinos mostly. It's been pretty chilly this winter actually. If it wasn't so dry, I think we would have had snow a few times. In the summer, you don't really want to be outside for more than like ten minutes though. I don't really order food online.

Adult Disneyland, Wild West Six Flags, gambling debt, legal prostitution (rest of Nevada), drug trade, established by Jews, hijacked by the mob.
>>
>>53945291
I guess she hasn't gotten used to the climate yet.
It can get very hot in the summer but you can tolerate it for long periods of time if you have a bit of common sense. I've had more than a few jobs where i was outdoors pretty much all day. Maybe twice it got so hot it was actually painful. but otherwise it was just another day in the desert.

this desu

>no actual night life for locals so it's boring as fuck.
wrong.

Downtown Project has come a long way. It's fucking great. The bars, nightlife. The revitalization is great. Decent but still shitty bands are coming out of the city.

Hipsterdom is winning and i love it. Can't wait for Downtown to be just like Seattle but really more like Portland since it's lower class but realist shit.

I love my city. Downtown FREEMONT!
>>
>>53941783
A pawn shop, I think.
>>
>>53945494
There's also that place next to the Westin between Koval and the strip. Little casino but they have cheap prices and a store attached to them. When i worked at Caesers and the Paris, Ellis Island was were i would hang out for a few beers after work.

>Can't wait for Downtown to be just like Seattle but really more like Portland since it's lower class but realist shit.

GTFO with that bullshit.

The Bunkhouse is as far as one goes down Fremont for entertainment, period. There is nothing beyond it until you get down to the Silver Saddle and you damn well better be not be a typical tourist there on the Fri/Sat nights.
>>
>>53945924
You wouldn't believe the crowds outside that place. Makes walking by it a pain in the ass sometimes.
>>
>>53945583
>hijacked by the mob
And then by jews again

Cancer and waste of resources.
>>
>>53946319
>french frog speaking

why?
>>
>>53946335
You don't need to be American to know much water this shithole waste for absolutely no good reason.
>>
>>53941783
A group named CSI solves murder cases. They sometimes judge and insult innocent citizens as the culprits but they don't care.
>>
>>53946225
Container Park is lame. End of story.

BackStage and Beauty Bar for gigs and that's pretty much it on that side. The rest is pretty much for tourists and local lamos. The LVCS is in a class of it's own as far as bands and shows. There's a two day fest coming up.
>>
>>53946371
It's really no different than any large city in the desert SW.
>>
>>53941783
I absolutely love CSI: Las Vegas.
CSI: Miami on the other hand is fucking garbage.
>>
Wedding parties, work outings, vacations.

Vegas is not like it used to be. It's basically Disney Land for adults now. Want to do some fun, shady gambling? Go hit up some river boats in Louisiana.

protip: being on a boat means some laws don't apply
>>
>>53946640
Even after Grissom left it never got as bad as Miami. Why is that?
>>
>>53946640
I think i seen a single episode of that show. Never really take seriously any series or movie featuring this town. And for you CSI fans here. I used to work at the Target store that had a morgue connected to us in the back..
>>
>>53946669
>fun, shady gambling

What the hell is that?
>>
>>53946675
Well, the focus is slightly different. LV likes the whole "scientific" approach much more than Miami.
But I don't know, maybe I just don't like Miami because I'm too used to Las Vegas, it was the first one I watched after all.
If you enjoy CSI, I've been watching "Person of Interest" and I'm really liking it, have you heard of it? It doesn't have any forensic mumbo jambo but the spy-investigation mix is really cool.

>>53946814
>Never really take seriously any series or movie featuring this town
Haha, will do.
>>
>>53946854
You can find some tax free gambling spots that are for high rollers.

Typically, if a gambling joint is tax free, it's because the winnings are so low that the IRS and feds don't give a shit.

The problem with tax free high roller gambling spots is that the law isn't there to protect you. The rules and regulations aren't there to protect you. It's a trade off, but it can be worth it. I remember being drunk off my ass and winning $20k at a craps table then using it the next day to pay off all my student loans.
>>
>>53946911
spy-criminal investigation*, I should say.
>>
>>53946969
That's a really nice angle! You have the potential to make a nice score and keep it under the table if all goes well there.
