Do people in your country care about American elections?
>>
>>53782321
nah
there was some hype and interest for obama because he was the first nigger president back in 2008, but no one cares about the US elections.

we care more about PM elections in Europe, though not that much either.
>>
>>53782321
Yes because we care about the treatment USA will give to terrorists.

>we care more about PM elections in Europe, though not that much either.
What are you talking about? I've never heard of someone caring about them.
>>
A bit. Most of us are ignoring it right now because it's still at the "literally who says stupid shit to boost his/her poll numbers" stage. We'll focus a lot more on it once it's down to 2 (possibly 3 this year) contenders.
>>
>>53782488
Could be a Sanders ticket after last night tbf. For the right, my money's on Rubio or Cruz.
>>
Not really. But for some reason we had live stream of King Haralds (Norway) 25-year party. I found that weird, we aren't even interested in Norwegian monarchy, only Swedish.
>>
>>53782510
then you should stop watching CNN
>>
>>53782321
Yes, infact are mps are choosing to ban trump or not.
>>
>>53782321
No.
>>
>>53782488
Now post the Sanders v.s. Trump polls :^)
>>
Nope. These elections might be hyped a bit because of Trump being in the same team of the new european right.
>>
>>53782568
Does th Canadian political spectrum fall mostly in line with the American? Cons = Republicans Libs = Democrats Greens = Indies?
>>
>>53782690
Does Trump remind you at all of Berluscioni?
>>
>>53782608
>we

>>
>>53782321
Japanese media care as America as UK, but no interest with France, Italy and Germany.
>>
>>53782699
Roughly. A common canard that gets tossed around is "the American left is more right wing than the Canadian right", which I think is a bullshit oversimplification. I like that Trump and Bern have upended the usual left/right dichotomy this time.
>>
American elections are one of the singular most entertaining things in the world, it's great theatre.
>>
>>53782848
In some ways they're actually pretty similar. Trump's angle is that he's a billionaire, he knows how billionaires work, and by closing off the loopholes and such that they use to keep their money, he can cut taxes on the lower classes. Sanders more or less reaches the same conclusion. That, and they're both despised by their respective parties. These next two weeks are exciting down here in the States.

Why would you care about Europe?
>>
>>53783141
Bernie's got NH and will quite possibly take Iowa.

It's a little early to get excited here, but its quite conceivable that he'll do well enough to get Hillary's superdelegates to jump ship. The Democrats don't want another 1968 on their hands.
>>
>>53783224
Basic statistical facts about the Democratic primary. That's what you're getting wrong. Sanders has damn near zero high level endorsements (Senators, House Reps, governors) and is getting blown the fuck out in every state with polling except for Iowa (which he is still losing in) and New Hampshire. The only group of Democrats he polls well with are white (very) liberal ones, which is a sure-fire way to be doomed in a Dem national primary contest.
>>
>>53782321
no
>>
>>53783382
The chances of that happening are near-as-makes-no-difference zero.
>>
>>53783451
You've convinced me, m8.
You were wrong when this meme was "Bernie is a nobody" back in the Autumn, but maybe it'll work out this time.
>>
>>53783483
Go ahead and explain how you expect him to win when he is losing bay absolutely massive margins in the vast majority of states that have been polled.
>>
>>53782321
What about you?
>>
>>53783555
I don't put much faith in the polls, 2bh.

4 years ago /pol/ was reassuring me that all signs pointed to a Romney sweep.
>>
>>53783483
Sanders is losing in places like South Carolina and Florida (i.e. early primaries that are more accurate microcosms than IA or NH) by 40+ points.
>>
Our media already declared Trump the winner months ago. The other candidates don't get any media attention.
>>
>>53782321

I would chalk that up to the Clintons' general popularity in the South.

Everything you're saying is true. Everyone from cabinet members to what seems like every democratic US Senator endorses Hillary. She has the establishment advantage, and by extension, the credibility. All I said is that Sanders is at least putting up a fight and I think it's too early to count him out completely.

Could he end up being BTFO in the coming weeks and months? Sure, but I think Iowa in two weeks and New Hampshire will speak to how viable that position is.
>>
>>53783729
And you somehow don't see that as a problem for Sanders? That makes no sense.
>>
>>53783785
It'll really be over after Super Tuesday on March 1st.
>>
>>53783798
Not him, I think what he's saying is that the Clinton name has always held weight for Southern democrats and that nobody's put in a concentrated effort to change that yet, as opposed to the candidates having campaigned there and them still being for Hillary.
>>
I want to become american so I can vote for trump.
>>
>>53783913
Sanders has been trying to expand his base for months, politically, ethnically, and geographically. And so far, he's failed pretty badly. There's no serious chance of that changing at this point in the process.
>>
>>53783883
It definitely might be, I wouldn't be particularly shocked. I'm not feeling the Bern, but a lot can happen in a month that could really turn this into a contest.

>>

No because we actually have more than two parties.
>>
Nope, nobody gives a single flying fuck about it here.
>>
>>53784008
The only point I would offer in contention is this: back in '08, right around now, it was relatively the same story. Most of the country was staunchly Hillary, she led the national polls by a wide margin, but there was contest in Iowa and New Hampshire, by Obama and to a very small extent Jack Edwards.

There's a key difference in the question of superdelegates (namely, that Sanders is going to have to find some) but I don't think we should call it until it's called.

Of course there are people who seem to think that they're americans themselves but those kind of people need to be shot.

It might be shocking to an amerifat but parties rarely get over 50% in an actual democracy and that there can be more than one party in government.

>>
>>53785659
It may be shocking to a retarded piece of Eurotrash, but our parties are orders of magnitude more diverse in and of themselves. The Democratic and Republican parties are the equivalent of coalitions in Europe in that they represent a fairly wide range of opinion and policy preferences compared to any one subsection of the party (or in Europe's case, any one of the much smaller parties).

Jeb is a dynastic shit like hillary who like all dynasties are stale, incapable of unique ideas, and generally fuck up everything like the political gahndi's in India.

Trump, Carson, and Cruz are memes that are usually weeded out earlier. Cruz is the number 3 likeliest candidate but still not marketable.

You'd know this if you've been paying attention to the politics here, but I don't expect Turkish media to cover US politics.
>>
>>53813073
I know Jeb has like %1 in polls.
I'm just stating the fact that political families should not exist in modern democracy.
Why the fuck a Bush nominates 3rd time in 30 years ?

Hello Reddit!

Actually, yes.
I guess because this time, there's a real chance that the liberals AND republicans gonna nominate certified retards as presidentail candidates.
I mean... Bernie and Trump? Really? They're both stupid as fuck. A socialist dreamer and a populist windbag. Don't you have some good politicians who aren't radical idiots?
>>
It will get reported in the news, but I doubt many people actually care.

I hate Sanders and Trump equally and I think that we should strengthen the external borders of the EU, not the ones within. We put so much energy in establishing the Schengen zone and now it all goes to shit due to leftists and right-wing scum alike.

I'm into you, Shlomo.

Yes its important to us because we hate Obama. Most people here want a strong republican while the media and opposition shills for democrats because they have a similar liberal ideology.
>>
>>53782321
Yes, the cucks in my country care more about the US election because they need future instructions. The loony part of the Democrat part write the policies of every left-wing party here. They just copy-paste and switch out some words.

Well i certanily do, it's the best damn reality TV show america has produced, i loved the episode where trump says he'll makethe mexicans build a wall,or when bernie gets cucked by 2 black women, though i expected more from the Hillary character, too bad there is only 1 season every 4 years
>>
>>53785196
>'08, right around now, it was relatively the same story.

Yeah, but Obama stole all the black votes, which make up a huge part of the Democratic base in the South. Bernie's been pandering and trying to bump up his popularity with black voters for months and so far hasn't really pushed the needle.

Meanwhile, the Clintons, Bill especially, are obscenely popular among blacks. You're crazy if you think that Bernie Sanders has a prayer of convincing a bunch of middle-aged black women that they should ignore what Bill Clinton's saying to them on the trail and vote for Bernie Sanders.
>>
Yes, leftists are going full butthurt thanks to based Trump
