What do you wanted to be when you were growing up?
I always wanted to be a soldier.
>wanted to be film actor/director
>ended up radio news anchor/editor
Yeah I fell short of my dream.
i just like to be useful while away from people i guess
too bad these jobs are shit here
>no fucking idea on what to do with life
>never worked at all
musician and artist
CRAWLING IN MY SKIN THESE WOUNDS THEY WILL NOT HEALTHY
From about 12 I realised that I would probably end up in the public service and had the disposition, interests and skills that might be useful in that kind of job
I'm an overpaid admin officer in a quango so- yay for me?
Me too bro, I remember this thing at kindegarten where we had to come in dressed up as what we wanted to be
Came in all khaki, slouch hat and all
literally too unfit to ever be one now
>these are the people with whom you share this board
I wanted to be a drug addict and have fulfilled my dream. Now I should just an hero.
Why not be a soldier? I think infantrymen in Mexico make like 500 USD per month. That's not bad money, in Mexico especially considering they house and feed you. You get to shoot narcos too.
I wanted to stay a kid forever.
LOOK AT THAT DREAM COME TRUE
>always wanted to be a soldier
>uncle collects lots of stuff from ww2, mostly German because its what we obviously find in the old bunkers/unfinished mining tunnels
>school event when all the parents sit and we come out one by one dressed up as what we want to be
>each little student comes out and you hear chuckles and clapping following that
>I walk out in my army gear with an mp40 bb gun, full forest camo and over size for me (pic) on my head
>few months aww and clap
>see all the stern expressions and distaste from the fathers
>my dad is pissing himself at the back
My childhood always seemed to get better and better
>a jew wants to be something in hollywood
it's more about family ties
since hollywood is full of jews the odds of your californian jewish family having someone in the industry is over 400%
and they'll hire their nephew's wife's brother's son's husband over some other guy who shows more talent
A cop tbqh. I'm trying out this year though, getting in shape etc.
>inb4 people who don't get it, most likely Burgers
Police Academy here is a college degree, and it's actually hard to get in (about 8000 applicants for 500 spots/year). The pay is shit, but you won't find cops here who are fat, out of shape or who had shitty grades in high school.
They still have to pass everything to be accepted, and the physical strength requirements are nearly equal these days since they got butslammed in court for having lower reqs for women. But yeah, once you pass everything nigs and bitches get preference because "diversity", which sucks, but at least they're all qualified.
And the academic prerequisites were raised at the same time, and the physical prerequisites were lowered only marginally (you need to demonstrate that you posses decent physicla strength, stamina and endurance, if you're out of shape you won't make it, simple as that).
If anything, due to the increase in academic reqs it's harder to get in than ever, even if the physical side of it has been lowered slightly (basically you get the equivalent of 30 seconds more for the run these days)
Never really decided tbqh
Engineer and general rich person.
Seems to be working out well. Particularly the whole paid in USD thing.
I wanted to be a geologist
I grew up on documentaries (and cartoons) and the people they'd interview for documentaries were my heroes. I couldn't think of anything better than devoting myself to research and academia.
Now I'm a journalist, but it's also one or my passions so I'm happy
firstly i wanted to be spider man
then i wanted to be a programmer
now a want to be a famous ameircan nigga rapper
I wanted to be a decent, well adjusted person.
I never achieved that dream.
That I did know, here the police academy itself is an associates degree, and to get in you need to of course be eligable for college (this means a passing grade in enough shit to actually get a diploma as well as at least passing grades in all core subjects from hs), additionally they require a passing grade in "advanced" English and Swedish from hs (the reasoning seems to be to ensure all cops can communicate with people from abroad, immigrants and tourists and the like, as well as be proficient enough in Swedish to write a professional, concise and judicially satisfactory report).
Still, the starting salary for a Constable (the lowest rank) is like $2500/month. Then after 4 years you automatically get bumped to Senior Constable (there's no actual difference, but you get a bar/chevron on your shoulder board) you get bumped to like $2800/month. But shit, even the national chief of police only makes like $8700/month
I've always wanted to become normal when I grow up, I've always wanted for my mental disorders to disappear when I grow up, but here I am today grown up and still mentally ill and nothing improved or changed for the better
