HONEST question, how do Aussies feel about this song, and the fact that this song will always be associated with them by the rest of the world? (Song is Men At Work- Down Under BTW).
Also general pro-australia thread desu
Honestly? I love the song. I've never travelled overseas though, so I only know the song for just being a song. I've never had the "LAND DOWN UNDAH", "DO YOU RIDE KANGAROOS TO WORK LMAO?" experience that most Australians get overseas. It's probably hate it after that.
Will one of you Aussies be my BF and take me to your continent? I'm white and not a trap
>Where did we go so wrong with music
>The syndication of commercial radio
Yes it has brought interesting stuff too but we now associate and share interests with people we will never irl with.
>Where did we go so wrong with music?
This. Whenever I'm unfortunate enough to listen to Triple J and the "best songs from Australian artists" which coincidently is just niggerbeats.
Triple J is good desu. It's the only radio station I listen to because it's literally the only Australian station that will play Australian artists. You can call it pretentious or whatever, but pretty much every decent Australian artists who makes it these days made it because they became a hit through Triple J first.
I like this one:
Thoughts on Iggy? Not just YOU but your country in general?
BTW I believe pic related has been edited
Reminder that Steve has unironically been dead for 10 (TEN) years.
>tfw this song starts playing
>tfw THIS song starts playing
She had like 3 songs in the top 100 in US, and literally broke some record that was previously held by the Beatles. I'm too lazy to check ATM
But she is huge here, and makes a deal of her background being all poor from AUS, running away to Miami Florida at 16. And she like "worked" her way to the top
I bet a million kangaroos this ass didn't exist before she "made it" to Miami and/or Cali. Also she married some scumbag black dude from the ghetto who is still trying to sue her for all her money
Yeah women can make their ass tighter and lift it only SO MUCH with excersize. Her ass in this pic clearly shows Kardashian level fat injections.
If you still think that asses like this exist in skinny white women naturally; you are a wizard

>tfw the Sydney Olympics were almost 16 years ago
>tfw based Vanessa Amorosi and Nikki Webster will never be relevant again
Sia can actually REALLY sing. And I'm no fag but I know for a fact Sia can hit a kangarillion notes from low to high. Iggy on the other hand sounds like a nigga sitting in Tennessee county jail
i've just eaten a pastry at my computer and i got crumbs all over my desk
Surprised nobody's posted this yet
whether you want to believe her ass is natural is up to you but she has 1 in 1000 hip genetics
most people aren't aware that they're a genuinely good band with a lot of good song
up there with the oils (only non retarded underage australians will understand this post, basically 0.001% of /int/)
They inject fat into the butt/hips/surrounding areas. These plastic surgeons are paid a ridiculous amount of money. 10 years ago no famous singer/rapper had an ass that big.
Do you really think that it's just a coincidence that most famous women have a HUGE amount of ass fat?
Redgum have more good songs than just he was only 19.
This song is 30 years old and everything they sing about in this song has only become more true and sad
Remember this Asian on Australian Idol? It was one of the first ausmemes. Good times.
Was Lisa Mitchel the countries first waifu of the 00s?
>ACDC, ... Silverchair
>Bunch of drunks, then a bunch of probably drunk teenagers decades later.
>"Woo so many great musicians!"
Are you legitimately retarded? You named one of the biggest memes in music and then a Pearl Jam knockoff. You don't know about Australian music so please stop pretending otherwise.
Hey now, hey now
Don't dream it's over
Hey now, hey now
When the world comes in
They come, they come
To build a wall between us
We know they won't win
>"Don't Dream It's Over" is a song by the Australian rock band Crowded House,
Turn off the proxy, you disgusting New Zealand cuck.
I still want to go there so bad. After the rest of the world, then north america gets overrun by moslems, Australia will be our promised land.
I just want to get there before the rest desu
yes... it is australian.... just like russell crowe and pavlova
Jessica Mauboy, but she's not really worth listening to. She just signs generic pop music.
They used to be huge, I saw them when I was a kid. They're still pretty big but not like they used to be. I mean come one, they only have 1 original member (anthony-blue) and they have a bloody woman now.
How can you sing wake up jeff without jeff?
Hot opinion you got there you fucking Melbournian faggot, in real Australia (In other words, not Inbred Island, SJW: The city, Gotta import Niggers to mine our rocks: The State and Literally who: The city) NRL is preferred
Are you upset because Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia, Western Australia and the Northern Territory support AFL while Queensland and NSW have two teams each?
Meanwhile, NRL is literally nonexistant in pretty much every other state.
That's because It's the easiest and safest sport to play and almost all kids that play sport, play soccer
The actual followings of NRL and AFL are far, far larger than that of any Soccer League
Even Union is bigger than Soccer
>Meanwhile, NRL is literally nonexistant in pretty much every other state.
>QLD and NSW = 52.09% of the population
Too bad the A-League is basically nothing in comparison to the AFL or NRL.
Regardless of whether you think AFL or NRL is better, I think we can all agree that soccer is for Green voting, Muslim, Pooftas who're dodgy, obese tradies who rip off old ladies and are the neighbours from hell.
You fail to remember that the AFL has significant ground in in NSW and QLD though. There are two professional teams in each state. However NRL has literally no following in Tasmania, South Australia or Western Australia, and only a small following in Victoria.
Unrelated, but do Indonesians think about Australia much? I was thinking the other day about how weird it was that our countries don't really have a whole lot to do with each other despite being neighbours.
it's like a 20h flight and expensive as fuck, who would bother? There is probably 1 or 2 Portuguese tourists per year in Australia and those are people who have some family member living there
Funny episode desu. Not one single bit of it was based in reality of course, but still funny. I loved that they didn't even try to get Australian voice actors, and ended up doing accents that weren't even close to ours.
Is that a commercial that was actually played on public television?
Yeah I always cringed at the accents, I'm glad you guys were smart enough to see the satire. T/B/H/ your accents are sweet songs to my ears
no one is really interested in travelling except the internet generation
I didn't leave the country until I was 18, my parents never saw the need. When we went on holiday we just rented a house on a city on the coast that's about 30 minutes away from home
For a country in europe I find that utterly bizarre. I never went overseas until I was 22 but I'm australian so that's understandable, but you guys can just walk to another country...
>I just have mental problems
that's a big issue t'bh. But if you're not batshit more than like 20% of the time you still have hope of finding a nice guy. Even if you are there's a chance.
good luck ya crazy bitch
>Doof (the music)
Sure, trade you for a kangaroo (but just one).
This is how much Australia cares about soccer
Well, since nowadays you can get a flight to anywhere in Europe for 20€ and young people all want to travel, it happens a lot more. But you have to understand that my generation (late 80s, early 90s) was the first one to live comfortably in this country and to be capable of thinking of travelling and actually have holidays per se. We got out of a very conservative dictatorship only in the mid 70s. There was never any interest or incentive to travel and people only left the country to flee and immigrate to places like France or Switzerland back then. The generation that was born during the final years and just after the dictatorship (my parents' generation) was busy building what all the other countries had already built but we hadn't due to the government, so travelling was far from being something they thought of.
Also, distances are not seen here like they are over there and in other new world countries. You can probably drive for hours and still be in the same city over there, while if I drive half an hour I'll be in a different city and feel like an outsider and the trip will feel more exhausting that 30 minutes. In fact, I've done this experience countless times: when I went to the US I stayed in a hotel that was about an hour and a half away from NYC itself, but whenever I took the train it never felt more than a regular short trip. When I came back to Portugal and had to take the bus from Porto to my hometown an hour away, I felt completely drained by the end of it.
Bbl is one of the worlds biggest sporting events now, it's in the top 10 most attended events now after that 80k match
Have never met one of those in the wild. I have emus though. The emus were just feeding on grass and making a low bonk sound. Have nearly hit one in a car once which was kind of scary.
Everything about this video makes me so uncomfortable
>giant rabbits with long rat tails
I can't wait until I die; I'll surely transport to another universe where these disgusting crimes against God won't exist
> at one point to show multiculturism people dressed up in black and yellow gear to represent asians and africans
>never happen theses days
I like fosters beer but I read the can one day and it said made in America and I was displeased and I felt lied to. I don't really like it for the taste but for 1.60 you get a small trash can sized beer.
Does someone have the australia copy pasta talking about a regular day in straya? Don't remember much of it except one part where didgeridoo policemen's faces take a while to load due to high ping
