I can think of any outside of /int/ memes. As far as I can think of, people just think of the Portuguese as fake Spanish people responsible for Brazil.

More or less, that program is a bit weird. Its called El Intermedio, they talk about some of the national news (with a small touch of humor, quite bad usually), then they do street polls, then criticize something and ofc, some sketches like the one from the video. They use a lot the towel meme in that program.

Another video about the invasion of Portugal, its pretty good

Traditionally, doing groceries in Portugal has been cheaper than in Spain, so Spanish tourists in Portugal would usually stuff their cars / luggage / whatever with common household products they needed: towels, cutlery, curtains, etc. The towel meme spread so much that Portuguese textiles are appreciated in Spain to this day.

tl;dr our stereotype about you is: the Portuguese sell towels

Our language sounds incompetent? Ahmed, you're just getting silly now.

Our language sounds pretty great, provided it's spoken by someone who's not a hillbilly.

Also.. more dark-skinned than the "cliché" italian? Huh? I can tell you've either never been here or never been anywhere aside from the capital. Only a fraction of the populace is more dark-skinned than usual, and they're usually southerners (from Algarve, Alentejo..)

Have you ever been here?
