Definitive objective proof that Canadians are more intelligent, superior, and worthy than pleb-tier Americans.
The disadvantage of legitimate health care coverage regardless of income?
The disadvantage of coming from a far less economically divided society?
The disadvantage of coming from a nation with far less crime?
Yup...definitely hell on earth here. Pls liberate!
Canada actually is the greatest country on Earth, I fucking love living here (and yes, I spent over 5 years abroad in other cunts so I'm speaking from experience).
We are able to combine the American attitude of making it on your own in the new world, with basic socialist principles like healthcare and workers rights, with the end effect being a country where everyone can make ends meet without killing ourselves. Not to mention yes, we can own guns. Pretty much exactly like Americans except we dont carry them around because our terrorists are too busy making pizza or stirring my coffee at timmies kek
No nation is tied to the land here (our natives are all mixed or just dont care) so multiculturism is an actual thing that can be achieved, not to mention we dont take shit immigrants anyway (even our refugees are women, children or single men (only if homo...lol).
I can understand the hate here because everything from our flag to having the second biggest country on Earth makes every lesser nation jelly as fuck.
Fuck the rest of the world, all you need is Canada.
But we are American...I dont even understand why there is an issue to this.
The main difference between us is that you formed a union of states under a republic and we kept monarchy. There are closer cultural ties from people of the west coast of Canada and the west coast of the US than there are with other Americans on the east coast etc.
Still, we have some striclty Canadian things but we just run our country better than you run yours. That's a fact. The only butthurt present here is yours.
Mm, no, your superpower status comes from the amount of absurdly uncontrolled free market capitalism which runs your nation, run by billionaires with their hands in government pockets.
>And that must be why we're a super power
Why is this anything to be proud of? How does this effect your day to day life at all?
>still ahead of you in quality of life
US is like China when it comes to these statistics. You have a few of very rich people bringing it up for everyone else. It's a joke.
But hey, at least you have a president right?
And what would you do? Set your assault plastic spoon on me?
Absolutely. We're their most successful successor. White Brits come here in flocks in the summer as tourists or to visit family members, and there are many modern British émigrés here too. One of my own neighbours is from England.
The Ontarian flag still proudly holds not only the Union Jack in the corner, but also St George's Cross on its emblem. All provinces have some form or another of British monarchical symbolism. Saskatchewan has a red lion, Nova Scotia has a reversed St Andrew's Cross with a Scottish lion in the middle, Ontario and Manitoba have good ol' red ensigns...
I've been to England to visit my family there, and they love Canadians thoroughly, as much as we love them too. Proper proper English folk that is.
Me too. But Ontario does, so I'm proud of that.
It's weird to think for me at least, my siblings and cousins and myself are the first generation in our family for years to be born without a national flag being a Union Jack, or something without a Union Jack on it. My parents, grandparents, and back all born under a red ensign, and then any time before that they were all Union Jack. Even after 1867, a quarter of my family came from England in 1905 to Canada, and my great grandma (the last emigrant in the family) died in 1998, when she was 96. I don't really remember her, but one of my earliest memories is her having me on her lap as she read me a story. My great grandad was half Finland Swedish half English and he died about a month before my birth.
