"Hunting" courses. Shortest is nine days in bumfuck Saxony or Thuringia. Another few days until the documents arrive and your good to go. Not ten days but around two weeks, with some days of waiting, depending on how lazy the gouvernment feels right now.

If you really want to hunt and not be laughed at please look for some local course over at least a month.

A lot of sport shooters are also hunters, if just for the damn license. As a sport shooter you have to do so much shit and get legal documents every time you buy a gun, as a hunter you just walk into the shop, point at the gun, flash your green booklet and go out two minutes later with the gun in your hand.
