Classes may be less fulfilling as their are hundreds of students per class.
You might have to wait 2/3 years to fully engage the material in a specialized course.
Because of the sheer amount of people there a re lots of organizations and niches. However, greek life will inevitabley overpower everything else and the social scene will revolve around that.
You will meet far more distasteful and stupid people than you will interesting ones.
I don't go to a state school so you may want to ask someone else. However, I do like to have a good time and don't mind the "Greek" scene.
