Well, I'm a dirt poor student trying to become rich, and since Canada currently has a higher level of upward mobility, I think Canada's better.

If I end up with a brilliant idea that can generate a lot of wealth, then my opinion would change in favour of the USA, since it seems to attract a ridiculous amount off millionaires, who seem to dictate the country's policies.

If I'd be rich, had a great business idea or would want to start a career in the entertainment industry (movies, tv shows, music, porn etc.), the US is definitely the better place to be.
