>he wasn't brought up in a middle class home the Home Counties of Britain and therefore has an accent
>he thinks that he, as part of the middle class, is the default
hahaha look at this faggot
The American accent is not neutral.
Pronouncing the word "hot" as "haaat" is not a neutral pronunciation.
The only thing they have going for them is the pronunciation of their R's.
I think a true neutral pronunciation would be closer to Irish than American.
>he doesnt have the option to be monolingual
LITERALLY CANT MAKE THIS SHIT UP
>obvious proxy posting
Try harder, "japs"
If it wasn't half 3 in the morning I would do what I do every time one of you people spout this nonsense and post the studies as well as the royal Shakespeare Company recreation of the exact accent used at the time which sounds like a modern day Englishman from the West country and then I would post the video from Tangier, USA which still has said accent, but alas I am too tired so will just call you a knob.
Americans have an accent dipshit, if you can't personally hear it you probably have General American which is becoming common. You basically sound like you are from the Midwest/Northwest
It is technically true as America didn't make the odd choice to just randomly turn their English to non-rhotic. Back before the 1800s British English was rhotic but then some upper class brits decided to go non-rhotic because it sounded fancier and higher class. The only people who actually sound like how Elizibethan English people did are some people on an island off the south coast
You only say that because it's so widespread.
The English language comes from England, so I would argue that the native pronunciation is the standard and everything is a deviation from it.
I never said all English people us RP. The ones that don't still don't sound like the guys in >>53355946 's video, as I have seen it. Note I said that only the people on that island off the southern coast sound like Elizibethan English.
>Only People off the southern coast of England use RP
What are you talking about?
>The ones that don't still don't sound like the guys in >>53355946 (You) 's video
Are you...acting American on purpose?
I watch the video that guy is talking about a while ago and then watched a video about some guys on an island off the North Carolinian coast where they spoke just like the guys in the video.
I said americans being closer than brits to elizibethan english is technically true because most americans are rhotic while most brits are non-rhotic and that the only people who really sound like Elizibethan English people are the people on the island I decribed.
>He needs to speak often so he doesn't have an accent.
When will you people have real freedom so you don't have to talk at all?
>he actually understands the grammar rules of a Language
How can you be so KEKED
