I have a friend who studied rural poverty in Russia for his thesis in school for 6 months. According to him, Russia is the kind of place where a man has unlimited personal freedom, (meaning they can fuck around and do whatever they want on a personal level and nobody will care), but that average citizens have virtually no political or economic sway over their lives unless they somehow manage to move abroad or are already wealthy.
Comfy from a certain point of view. Depends on how many fucks you give.
as a former Soviet resident, it was very comfy to me, and the 4 times I've been back since.
But its been 10 years since the last time I was there, and it started to show a lot of uncomfort.
Lots of capitalism, not comfy at all.
how about if most of time they are covered with snow
barcelona maybe is taxi drivers nightmare
At least it has a block system, that's something. Ever been to Boston? The roads here are so ancient and crooked that if you take a single wrong turn, you'll end up in fucking Charlestown 30 minutes away.
Norilsk is a mining town, the space was for the bus to pick up the workers.
These days it's just parking lots.
how is it these days ? i was there in the 90s and it was kinda gloomy
i might visit to do some military shopping
>i thought that talking about russia in those countries was a crime
trade was booming, lots of russians shopping/visiting our coastal cities
So no commie blocks except in the red parts?
oh wait a minute, i remember you.
you are that rare pole who doesn't hate russia
>i will never live in one of those commieblocks
not that rare, and yes thats me
But St. Petersburg looks bretty comfy ngl
>you forgot to talk about kuril islands, nips are also butthurt over it
Germans butthurt over Koenigsberg
Finns butthurt over Karelia
Japs butthurts over Sakhalin and Kuril isles
World butthurt over Crimea, Transnistria, South Ossetia, Abkhazia.
Russians butthurts over: Ukraine, Belarus, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Moldova.
>i might visit to do some military shopping
For military shopping go to Ukraine, there are so fucking many illegal weapons there
>Russians butthurts over: Ukraine, Belarus, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Moldova.
what? yes i know that ukraine, georgia and baltics hate you and i don't know about the rest....But armenia? you have something in common now.....you both hate turkroaches
>For military shopping go to Ukraine, there are so fucking many illegal weapons there
im not dumb enough to try buying illegal weapons.
im interested in uniforms
Grozny has a lot of money pumped into it, it now looks like a first world city.
The region is mostly chechens and they are subhuman apes and muslimes. That's the only bad thing about it.
might be true, still the picture is wallpaper material if not for the low res
>Yeah, modern russian military and police uniform is pretty cool i want to say.
the modern military is a good one, i like it too
i will be looking for mabuta/early gorka to do afghan reconstruction or WWI imperial russia ones depending on which group i will try to join, im a big guy and finding large size uniforms is a bitch
so you searching for reproductions or original ones? It's nearly impossible to find originals nowadays, only WW2 and Soviet eras. and i think Kaliningrad is small town for these rare things
repros, i dont like the idea of wearing out a piece of history
yeah but thats a bit far only for a shopping trip. maybe somewhere in the future if ill every decide to see MAКC or victory parade
ive done it a couple of times, its not as scary as it looks
yeah i know basic russian and that site, thanks

its traditional dance in icy river
In Bulgaria, Epiphany is celebrated on January 6 and is known as Bogoyavlenie ("Manifestation of God"), Кpъщeниe Гocпoднe (Krashtenie Gospodne or "Baptism of the Lord") or Yordanovden ("Day of Jordan", referring to the river). On this day, a wooden cross is thrown by a priest into the sea, river or lake and young men race to retrieve it. As the date is in early January and the waters are close to freezing, this is considered an honourable act and it is said that good health will be bestowed upon the home of the swimmer who is the first to reach the cross.
In the town of Kalofer, a traditional horo with drums and bagpipes is played in the icy waters of the Tundzha river before the throwing of the cross
Only if you can prove that you can be useful for your Motherland. Hint: RF doesn't care about millions of Russians who dying in third world shitholes like Ukraine and Turkmenistan, so think twice.
how is about us, i mean we eu now and not former but still
maybe i have skills but totally not any kind of celebrity
what means proof to be useful, a degree?
how are people starting there
If you was good citizen in your country: paid taxes, had a job, didn't have a previous conviction then it would be much easier for you to get a citizenship. But think twice do you really want to move in Russia. If you sure then i advise you to move in St. Petersburg
Nah, there is much more places that looks like shit for example this.
also here photo from my hometown. desu new neighborhoods looks much better
five-story building don't have elevators. Funy thing is that those commieblock were supposed to be exist only for 25 years but now, after collapse of USSR we dont know what to do with them
also for example at the end of the city here there is store for refurbished and second hand pcs, on 4th floor but there is elevator only for internal use for the goods and pcs not one for the clients and when you buy something you carry it down by your hands lol
How could you have internet there!?
Ruskie neighborhood in Brooklyn NYC.
Man after coffin sized elevators and ghettos in Paris it seems OK. :3
Besides, the government is working hard on improving Moscow for three years now. They already achieved some results, especially in the center. Still a lot of work to do but it's way better than it used to be.
Still not as comfy as Rome or Copenhagen desu.
Picrelated is my beloved commieblock, a park there. A tennis court, a stage for holidays and a playground. I can walk there anytime and no way someone's going to mug me. I used to jog there at nights before I bought a gym subscription.
All praise based Sobyanin.
i don't know and it looks like i won't be able to find out
>tfw wanted to study in russia
>tfw they want you to pay a bigass tuition fee and get an aids test at their hospital and pay a whole bunch of other fees
>tfw you have to bring in the documents to moscow personally, without any guarantee that you wont be told to fuck off, making the trip all for nothing
>tfw literally fuck off we don't want any strangers attitude
I don't understand why people think st. Petersburg is comfy town. It isn't even better than moscow, and moscow is a shithole.
St. petersburg is so depressing place that you would come here only to kill yourself. And even in this terms moscow is better, since you can go there on Red Square and burn yourself, so your death will be not that miserable.

Here's a torture facility. We debrief Navalny followers here each Saturday.
And that fenced thing is a mini concentration camp.
NATO please invade, also our economy is shattered.

We celebrate Baptism of Jesus this way. Winter or not, we'd symbolically dive in the river of Jordan (or whatever body of water we have handy). Russia strong.
In case you're curious, number of people who get cold this way is not distinguishable from observational error.
Not sure if it's worth it, bro. Just look what happened to gas pipeline through Balkan countries we were going to build. Had to negotiate with motherfucling t*rks after that.
I'd go to Croatia (and Serbia) myself for holidays though. Schnapps is cool.
я yвepeн...дocтaтoчнo yвepeн.... Poccия нaм дpyг
Schnapps is not found in Croatia's usual holiday destinations (the south, coast - Adriatic). It's a northern delight, found in "Zagorje". Russians used to be our faithful tourists, but since the Visa shit happened, and the sanctions as well, we've noticed a really sharp decline in Russian tourists. Our service sector protested to allow Russians in without visa, but the EU loomed on us...
>Temperature barely falls to less than 0°C during september-december
>Suddenly drops to -20's right after the New Year
It's like Grandfather Frost suddenly woke up, realized that he had slept throughout half the winter and decided to make up for the lost time fast.
