Are there any Taiwanese chan boards? I'd like to practice my Chinese, but don't want propaganda and censorship. Kinda ruins the point of going on a chan.
Aren't TW and HK like totally free "countries"?

Taiwan, yeah pretty much.
Hong Kong was, but it's getting increasingly taken over by the party. The owner of Ali Baba (Chinese eBay) recently announced the takeover of one of Hong Kong's biggest newspapers. Probably means it'll just become another mouthpiece for the government, the Ali Baba guy is known to be very tight with the CCP.
That's why I'm looking for Taiwanese chan boards. Seems like the last true China.

Don't know Chinese well enough. I'm curious more than anything. I like going on 2chan even though my Japanese is only so-so. It's a fun way to practice though.

I only know anime/Jap music Chinese language sharing forums. They have exclusive old stuff which I like. Memes are also discussed there but not much. Their forum structures often a mess, I only bother with searching & downloading.
I once visited a Chinese forum but it was very erotic and very violent so I quickly closed the window

To be fair though, the Ali Baba guy is a really nice dude. he is close with the government, but he's also one of the most genuine billionaires out there and donates a shit load to good causes.

is there a Taiwanese equivalent of 2ch, 4chan or Ilbe?
Those sites all have similar formats and culture (i.e. right wing nationalism)

That must have been a close call. Good thing you acted swiftly.
