as of yesterday Poland has Netflix
my question is - what's Netflix
Like youtube but with a select Library of movies and TV shows that are legally uploaded. But they're still crippled by copyright. American, British, and Canadian netflix will all have different content available. Some people use proxies to see other countries content and the entertainment industry still calls us pirates even though we pay for the service kek.
>For what purpose may i even need it?
Because you can watch tvs and movies whenever you want without ads or downloading and it costs basically nothing in real countries.
Might be like a weeks wages in the third world though for all I know.
You probably don't. I think aside from a few countries they just wanted to become international. You might not even have access to any good shows because copyright. But I think they had a two week free trial here so you could always sign up and just watch what's not shit in that time for temporary easy streaming.
At that point you may as well just torrent to make your life easier.
No, it costs money. It became popular because it's cheap. I think the price increased to 10 or 8 dollars a month in Canada, I forget. Basic Cable (which is 14 channels of garbage) will run you 55 dollars a month at least here so Netflix became a popular legal alternative for streaming.
Every country has a different lineup of shows and movies, you can use a proxy to switch between lineups and get everything. It's better than torrents because it's instant and usually quality.
And no it's not free (though it sounds like you guys get a free month of it) but it is cheap as fuck. 8 dollars a month.
>Might be like a weeks wages in the third world though for all I know.
Prices here are from 7.99 to 11.99 euros.
That's not a lot,but it's ridiculously high for basically nothing.
It's really retarded. For 12 euro per month i can get 75 mb/s Internet and just download shit 24/7.
So i guees only costumers they wiil get here is western wannabies.
desu i using zalukaj.tv
Everything is for free.
This is polish site like youtube you can watch movies online and TV series for free, from whole world.
From House of Cards, Arrow, Colony to Doctor Who and some turkish tv series.
And most of movies from 1960 to now.
Internet in Canada is pretty bad, we have bandwidth caps and it gets quite expensive. Cable is extremely expensive here and increasingly unpopular due to shitty content and ads.
It's cheaper to have a shitty internet package + Netflix for some easy streaming when you're bored. Like it has all seasons of X-Files right now. I don't want to dig up torrents and store 9 seasons on a hard drive. I just use torrents for movies mostly since their selection isn't as good.
So it works okay in Canada, but might not be so good in your country. I'd still take advantage of the free month for some lazy streaming.
So does it look like a good deal in Poland? I don't understand.
Too lazy to figure out proxies desu.
This movie i watched today.
you must click this button on middle "Oglądaj film online" and you have two options - with subtitles or lector.
I pay less for unlimited internet, take a wild guess.
One of the worst things with Netflix is its lack of pre-buffer for videos. It only does a few minutes ahead. My wifi is shit and it cuts out in some areas. Torrents are superior for this.
I doubt they'll make much of an effort to put much Polish content on your version so that's probably for the best.
Netflix is awesome~
>House of Cards
They don't rely on traditional television ratings schemes, i.e. advertisement sales, so they can invest in risky, but high-quality television. Netflix's original programming is so much better than any television network.
So you are Australia tier internet?
What speed you have?
I'm agreed that it's alright for some situations, but it really sucks here.
>because you guys freed all the electrical infrastructure
Operation Energy Freedom
You need to understand that Netflix does not rely on advertisements like network television, but subscriptions allow them to finance really good television shows.
IMO it is one of those cases where you can see where the money is going - and it is well worth it.
This too, but on a more practical and tangible level, continued support for excellent original programming. Unlike traditional TV, you are essentially the lifeblood for the company's survival.
Haven't looked at any recent surveys but its been said for a while that we have one of the lowest internet speeds in the developed world, plus the bandwidth caps thing. You also never get the advertised internet speed in the package you pay for. I think we were just slightly better then Australia but not by much.
>Trailer park boys
>Parks and Rec
>U.S. and U.K. House of Cards
Are all why I have Netflix, although Hulu is slowly becoming the better option, especially with its new no-commercial plan.
It's called typing on a phone with autofill turnes on.
Do you know what phones are? They're those magical space computers you see white people carrying around that can call in drone strikes.
The nephew made me sad, I knew a girl as stupid as him in high school. She'd repeat everything you said if she liked you or was put in an awkward position like the kid. Really easy to put thoughts into her head as well.
Provincial average upload speeds
New Brunswick 10.66 Mbps
Quebec 9.8 Mbps
Newfoundland 9.14 Mbps
Nova Scotia 8.34 Mbps
Prince Edward Island 6.73 Mbps
Alberta 4.98 Mbps
Saskatchewan 4.96 Mbps
Ontario 4.86 Mbps
British Columbia 4.34 Mbps
Yukon 2.7 Mbps
Manitoba 2.37 Mbps
Northwest Territories 2.29 Mbps

Not sure what areas its based on. Some parts of a province could be yukon tier while some city areas might be better.
Your country is very big size, so the maintenance cost affects the service quality (internet speed, cost etc), I guess?
I pay around JPY 5,000 a month (US$60 a month) for internet whose actual speed is around 80MB/s), I think this is not cheap.
Why are people saying it costs too much? You literally get hundreds of hours of content only for the cost of a single movie ticket.
Still I'm not going to use it since compared to Spotify which pretty much has any song you want the content of Netflix is different in each country and in most countries it is pretty shit.
>the content of Netflix is different in each country and in most countries it is pretty shit.
Use a proxy or vpn. Netflix is literally too dumb or lazy to make accounts country specific.
His last little phone call they showed made me cry, when he was in jail
He justs wants a gf and to watch Wrestlemania
>paying for movies and shows
>paying for a limited library of movies and shows
>downloading movies and shows
Why don't you guys just stream movies? As soon as a torrent is released some website already hosts it, i don't need to fill my computer with shit i only watch once
I live in Calgary, Alberta and am currently in the downtown core.
>tfw fast internet that I don't even have to pay for
>Can we watch anime through Netflix?
NIppon-chan, can we really, pic related
That's some regular 2nd world ADSL for you.
>US$60 a month
They are robbing you
it's generally the same here
honestly middle class people get screwed the most in the US. if you're poor like me and don't go to a bad school you'll get pretty full aid, but middle class folks don't get enough but it's too expensive for them to pay.
most of the student debt in the US comes from schools like ITT Tech though, not UC Berkeley (where I go), Harvard, etc.
new commieblocks look like this.
They don't have furnances for coal or even gas for cooking. They using electricity is more safty.
Also all blocks having https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grzejnik
And most of bigger and medium cities have own
So you will always have good temperature in winter in house.
could be cheaper but I don't want to sign a 1 year contract...
It's the same here. There's also the additional problem of the government refusing to collect job data so many students who graduate can't get employed. I think Ontario was producing 80% more teachers then it need, so the kids just leave school with debt and work at waiters.
They're being threatened by copyright holders about that stuff. If they end up threatening to pull content Netflix might try to "crack down" by blocking some IPs. Also copyright people are trying to make VPNs illegal because jews.
internet is pretty fast in eastern Europe because the infrastructure is a lot newer and the penetration rates are a lot lower and its a much smaller country
it's extremely expensive to wire internet out to say Edmonton
every house is allowed 1 gun, sometimes they'll look the other way if you have a pistol beside the rifle
otherwise the other weapons would be confiscated
if you have an unreasonable amount you'll be in trouble tho
>having a bomb shelter
That's pretty awesome, actually.
Some of our internet infrastructure is piggy backing your guy's stuff too. Also when we do build new things the government helps pay for it and then we still get raped on costs. Even if we ripped everything out and put new everything in I honestly doubt things would improve on the consumer end. Mobile phone, cable, and internet is pretty fucked up in this country and all attempts from the government to stop monopolies manipulating prices have failed.
what's the point of you having a butt if it's gonna be hurting all the time?
great service with a ton of movies/tv series to watch finally internationally instead of having to pirate shit.
Plus Netflix has began making cool shows like jessica jones and daredevil and probably more.
i think it's a lot easier to wire internet to commieblock structures than to spread out suburban houses, especially with the prevalence of NIMBYs
i would be curious to see how speeds compare in non-metropolitan Romania, Poland etc
Why would i pay anything when i can stream any movie or series without even downloading it(i could i just don't feel like it since i only watch them once) i want and download any song ever for free
Downtown areas and our "commie blocks" (condos/ apartment buildings) neighbourhoods have terrible internet here too.
Worst Internet I've ever used was in a newly built college dormitory I lived in that was maybe 30 floors. It was also on a campus based around technology. Even the ugly commie blocs looked nicer then that shit hole.
Come on people, that's like what, one hour work? You can't be that poor.
I'm aware of limitations in certain countries but you can bypass that by putting a VPN in your router, or simply use Hulu.
Here's a free fast VPN: https://tvunblock.com/
when I lived in Manhattan it wasn't like that but I lived close the NYSE so we had REALLY fast speeds
I think it really depends on where you are located. the infrastructure is extremely expensive to replace so unless there's a really good profit motive the businesses aren't going to spend the millions of dollars it would take just to bring fibre to a town of 100 residents. Some of those towns are self-organizing though, I think some town in Tennessee? formed its own internet utility and wired the town w/ fibre so they now have 1 Gbps
Some smaller towns help pay for their own improvements here too. But big cities, especially the core areas do have stuff in place. Often the government helped fund upgrades but consumers still have to pay heavy prices to access those improvements. Otherwise you're put in the mud barrel with everyone else.
Or for people who have a good job and can afford such cheap conveniences and time savers ;^)
Pirating is literally what kids do because they dont have money and have time.
yeah, it is great for apple tv or my tablet when i am also doing stuff on my laptop
>set torrent client to download sequentially and start watching
Wow, that was hard.
Or use that Popcorn Time program to make it look nice and shiny like Netflix if you really must.
And how it's regular life?
I get that you have blackout, but what about water and food?
Sorry if i aks too many questions, but i'm really interested.
It's was better in Ebil Empire times, they had civilian defence training and so on,shelters were full of food and gasmasks
It takes time and I have to move my lazy ass. When I'm downstairs I don't feel like going upstairs to download it on my computer, extract it, search for subtitles and put it on a USB.
It's also comfortable when you're high at your friend's place and want to watch a movie
jk pls dont come here :(
jk dont drink milk homs :DD
>you are such a filthy jew that you believe 7.99 dollars a month for legal unlimited TV shows is too much
Its easier than pirating everything and its only 8 fucking dollars, thats less than breakfast and lunch costs once every month.
Strange to hear that form Iraqi :D
Wait , so you are actually not a shepherd?
This is that you get for burning all these jews.
THEY FOUGHT FOR YOUR INTERNET FREEDOM HANS! AND YOU BETRAYED THEM!
Honestly, if your country doesnt have many furfags it is pretty shit.
Well, I heard that pic related was very popular.
>Jamie Clayton (born 1977 or 1978) is an American actress and model. She currently stars in the Netflix series Sense8.
>Clayton is a trans woman. In 2011 she was honored by Out magazine as part of their annual "Out 100" awards.
still feminine, and femininity is repulsive and disgusting
>being a passive server for thousands of neckberd poorfags who can't pay for Netflix
>2nd season comes march 14th i think
>What is the plot of sense8?
The series was made by the Wachowski broth... sry, siblings, it's a story of 8 people who have some kind of telepatic connection and they have to fight against an evil organisation, the premise is interesting, but for me it was quite boring.
>paying out of your arse for shit quality streams
western cucks never cease to amaze me.
how difficult is to google piratebay proxy or to get into a private tracker you spergs.
heck, irc pirating is easier than this shit
A Boy Is Worth More Than a Girl
For young boys, the girls I've left behind
And for old wine set clear water out of mind.
Far from the straight road, I took without conceit
The winding way of sin, because this horse
Has cut the reins without remorse,
And carried away the bridle and the bit.
Here I am, fallen for a faun,
A dandy who butchers Arabic.
His forehead, brilliant like a full moon,
Chases away the black night's gloom.
He cares not for shirts of cotton
Nor for the Bedouin's hair coat.
He sports a short tunic over his slender thighs
But his shirt is long of sleeve.
His feet are well-shod, and under his coat
You can glimpse rich brocade.
He takes off on campaign and rides to attack
Casting arrows and javelins;
He hides the ardor of war, and his
Attitude under fire is magnanimous.
Comparing a young boy to a young girl,
I am ignorant.
And yet, how can you mix up some bitch
Who goes in monthly heat
And drops a litter once a year
With him I see on the fly.
How I wish he would come
Return my greeting.
I reveal to him all my thoughts
Without fear of the imam, or of the muezin.
Abu-Nuwas al-Hasan ben Hani Al-Hakami (756–814)
>he has a statue and a street named after him not far from where i live
to be fair this is 1000+ years ago
I knew it, kek:
In the Bath-house
In the bath-house, the mysteries hidden by trousers
Are revealed to you.
All becomes radiantly manifest.
Feast your eyes without restraint!
You see handsome buttocks, shapely trim torsos,
You hear the guys whispering pious formulas
to one another
("God is Great!" "Praise be to God!")
Ah, what a palace of pleasure is the bath-house!
Even when the towel-bearers come in
And spoil the fun a bit.
Not particularly in him, but two weeks ago I read "The Renaissance of Islam" by Swiss historian Adam Mez and it contained some surprisingly gay Arabic poems.
A-At least we're better than Australia... ;______;
Netflix outside the US is pure shit. There is nothing to see on it. I had it for two months, watched Daredevil an House of cards and fucked back to torrent. I heard that Amazon had something better for Europoors.
