>tfw your state's flag is breddy gud
Number one flag here.
Good, but ranks just behind the number two flag, pic related.
This historic flag may not be the best flag ever, but it was replaced with you guessed it, a seal on a blue field. Fucking idiots...
"What should our flag be?"
"Everyone else has a blue flag with a seal on it let's do that"
"No, wait, lets be different"
Ugh, no creativity.
Historic flag of Maine, now changed to, you guessed it, seal on a blue bed sheet.
Colorado, New Mexico, Maryland, and Alaska's are all better.
Fun fact, Massachusetts is one of two states with their own merchant flags. Pic related.
Massachusetts had a flag with two different sides, the current complex side and this simpler reverse. Honestly this side would have been the better choice to keep. Though I think the naval flag is the best.
I believe Oregon is now the only state with different designs on each side of the flag.
The second state with a naval flag is of course Maine, a state that received many legacy laws from Massachusetts when it separated and became a state of its own, including it's state bird.
Spanish Autonomous Community.
Flag Lisboa + Shield Portugal.
We are a meme
One of Rhode Island's historic flags. Not sure how I feel about this one.
This was replaced with, you guessed it, a blue bed sheet.
This mess was finally replaced with the modern flag, which honestly I find acceptable.
There is also this unofficial flag of Rhode Island that gets somewhat impressive usage.
A-At least our regional flag is unique
Connecticut is pretty shit
This was the first flag of the Massachusetts bay colony. A red ensign of the Kingdom of England with Saint George's cross removed because you know, puritans.
Flag of Taunton, Massachusetts.
This is the flag of my county. It's okay I guess.
This is the flag of New England as used in the revolution and is currently the design used by the New England Revolution, a major league soccer team.
That's the flag of the Governer's conference, not really a regional flag exactly. Also it's modified from a misprinted newspaper flag known as the bunkerhill flag. It really should be red.
What's wrong with a little ensigns among friends?
It's a shame NH and CT don't have any historic flags at all, blue bed sheet isn't a very high bar to beat.
Is that where Hitler lives today?
googling this brought pics of a gypsy flag, naked feminists, a swedish flag with a muslim crescent and a star of david, a gay flag, a globalist flag etc.
Nope. No nazis to be found around these parts. None at all.
If you bully me I'll blow up Yellowstone :^)
Our flag in Tennessee ain't that bad, though it does look a bit like what communist nation would use
I remember when people got upset over some hicks in North Carolina having a confederate flag in their capital.
Funny how nobody has noticed that Georgia has just taken the battle flag and added their seal.
you niggers are fucking pathetic look at this beautiful shit
Newfoundland alternative coming through
>pre dates the Irish tricolor
"Pink the rose of england shows, green st patricks emblem bright, and in between, in spotless sheen, st andrews cross unites in white"
>tfw your state flag isn't actually a flag
I-uh... would rather not talk about it.
One day New England will join with Eastern Canada and at long last bring peace, order, and justice to the Western Hemisphere.
>tfw still waiting to become a state
We wrote our name and birthday on it just in case some other state stole it.
Madison has a pretty good flag; Milwaukee's is just a jumble of shit.
at least it's not Pernambuco with their gay cross flag
Posting GOAT flag
It's great, y'all removed the iconic southern cross, and the yanks were satisfied, but kept the CSA in there in actuality.
>In January 2001, Governor Ronnie Musgrove appointed an independent commission which developed a new proposed design, and on April 17, 2001, a non-binding state referendum to change the flag was put before Mississippi voters. The proposal would have replaced the Confederate battle flag with a blue canton with 20 stars. The outer ring of 13 stars would represent the original Thirteen Colonies, the ring of six stars would represent the six nations that have had sovereignty over Mississippi territory (various Native American nations as a collective nation, French Empire, Spanish Empire, Great Britain, the United States, and the Confederacy), and the inner and slightly larger star would represent Mississippi itself. The 20 stars would also represent Mississippi's status as the 20th member of the United States. The referendum for a new flag was defeated in a vote of 64% (488,630 votes) to 36% (267,812) and the old flag was retained.
>Politicians try and cuck Mississippians with literal multicultural flag design
>gets beat down
I stand with Mississippi
It most certainly is not, that bitch will kill you
>with Latin, a language with little to do with the US
It's on every piece of currency you fucking idiot
>on a blue background
>Winged it: the flag
>It most certainly is not, that bitch will kill you
It's flabby. Still hit it tho.
>It's on every piece of currency you fucking idiot
Which was a mistake to begin with, but desu any writing on flags is bad
Plain AF senpai
>literally the most boring shitty flag
>superior to anyone
>fucking retarded Texas
Holy shit I'm dying
This flag story got a happy ending though:
a little corporate but a huge improvement
In the days where BLM and yanks are trying to shit on us just for being former CSA, there is no reason for us to fight while there are New Englanders posting here.
Virginia was part of the Thirteen OG Colonies, and their representatives made the declaration of independence and United States constitution.
Texas won its independence was it's own republic for a decade, with its own government and everything.
And not twenty years later we were brothers on arms in the CSA.
There are no two better states to represent the south, and perhaps no better to represent the US as a whole.
Also, have a gander at the worst flag of all time
Apparently this flag was designed to commemorate the 1000th anniversary of my county
>Your state's historic flag not having itself on it in a flagception
>tfw the Congo
My state flag is shit, but my city's is pretty cool. Pic is my state.
Yours is actually the best, second is probably NM.
Is this weird? Am I weird for living here?
Overijssel literally means "Over the IJssel", IJssel being a river in the Eastern Netherlands. It's a river, and the color scheme comes from the flag of Holland, even though Overijssel was part of the Duchy of Utrecht/Sticht as Oversticht.
Frisia's flag looks a bit silly, the water lillies look like hearts. The flag of Zeeland is beautiful indeed, as are the words "I struggle and I emerge".
>tfw when your region has a better flag than your country
>ftw when the proposed new flag is even shitter than the current flag
Here are all the state and territory badges of Australia (which appears on their flag in some form, alongside the Union Jack for states and the Southern Cross for territories).
>English flag with no cross
>Literally just a white shape
