Since her ancestry goes back before the modern immigration to Sweden started there are only a few possible explanations to her swarthy (for an ethnic Swede) looks.

1. Some sami admixture

2. Walloon (a few thousand Walloons immigrated in the 1600's, those with walloon last names are often swarthier than others, her name is Swedish though, but perhaps the mother is of walloon ancestry)

3. Some jewish or gypsie - they have been in Sweden for a few hundred years, they are however very few in numbers so not likely (jews about 10-15k, gypsies about the same Id say)

4. We've had some scotts, germans and dutch immigrating here (during 1200's-1700's) as soldiers and experts (architecture etc). Could have some swarthy southern German or something in her family tree.


Anyway, if she had saami admixture, the swarthy parent would have been from the north (thats where the samis live), however the swarthy one of her parents is born in the very south. (Blonde dad from the north, swarthy mother from the south).

My ultimate guess would be jewish or gypsie, her mother looks a bit jewish/mixed gypsie.
