I don't know which one is The best preserved, but the Temple of Hephaestus in Athens(built 449BC) was a church of St. George up until 1834 and it is very well preserved.

I wish I could say the Parthenon was church(For Virgin Mary - Parthenos Maria) and then a mosque, but the Turks stored gunpoweder in it while the were warring the Venetians, and thw Venetians bombed it (1687)...

I think we are not talking about the same " being small or big " , Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque are almost the same wide but Hagia Sophia is a little bit wider . But it's not just it , Hagia Sophia's cupola has fallen several times before we conquered Istanbul , so there is not a really accurate about the length. Blue Mosque is like only 1 meters longer so it doesn't makes a difference. What makes the Blue Mosque " big brother " is the architecture here . I do not want to offend anyone here , Blue Mosque's cupola is fairly bigger than the Hagia Sophia's , because of the different placement and architecture on it . If you stand on the middle of the Mosque and look up , it looks like it will fall on you any second , but it does not , for 500 years.
