Iraqi PM Nouri Maliki: Russian jets will turn tide

>"I'll be frank and say that we were deluded when we signed the contract [with the US]," Mr Maliki said.

>He said Iraq was acquiring second-hand jet fighters from Russia and Belarus "that should arrive in Iraq in two or three days".

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-28042302

>We are greatly alarmed by what is happening in Iraq. We warned long ago that the affair that the Americans and the Britons stirred up there wouldn't end well," Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Wednesday,

This is merely a sign of how shit his regime has gotten, Airforces are conventionally the easiest branch of the military to control due to their relatively small numbers and class of personnel, with him falling bag on muh airplanes just shows that ISIS has him by the throat.

This means game over for America's dream of getting rid of Assad. Once Russia starts bombing, they won't stop until all anti-Assad forces are destroyed. Just like NATO did in Libya.

GAME OVER!

Take a read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iraqi_parliamentary_election,_2014

Figures seem pretty reasonable to me:
Shiites 170/328 seats: 51%.
Sunnis (Arab): 43/328; 13%
Sunnis (Kurds): 19%
Everybody else (including secular and independent): 17%.

Shiites got 51% while they represent 65% of the population, and Sunnis got 24% while they represent 35% of the population. Honestly, I don't see any foulplay. I hate to admit it, but sectarianism has been fanned quite a bit by the Gulf states to expand their hegemony over the region. Namely the KSA, and to a slightly lesser extent Qatar. Hate to say it, but It's very easy to make Sunnis butthurt over the smallest thing and make them perceive it as oppression if the rhetoric is based on sectarianism or religion in general.

And from hanging around on various news sites, many Iraqis see Maliki as a wimp like the Iraqi ITT said. I thought they'd be happy when Maliki said the KSA is sponsoring terrorism and that it should stop, but everybody was pissed at him for taking so long to say it. He's trying his best. This whole thing looks like propaganda to me, honestly.

>The funds would help Syrians defend against forces aligned with President Bashar al-Assad, the White House said.

>The aid would also counter Islamist militants such as the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (Isis), it added.

>Isis's advance in neighbouring Iraq has led some in Congress to press Mr Obama to take action.

Yeah like "sending another $500 million to ISIS in Syria". That's some solid action there Mr. Traitor.

>Tens of thousands of people have died and millions more have been displaced in three years of civil war in Syria, as rebels fight troops loyal to Mr Assad.

>"This funding request would build on the administration's longstanding efforts to empower the moderate Syrian opposition, both civilian and armed," the White House said.

This means-- Sending money to ISIS and al Ciada.

>It will also "enable the Department of Defense to increase our support to vetted elements of the armed opposition".

Maybe, but in Britain there is some serious anger over Iraq and Afghanistan. We were always a lot more against the Iraq War than America was, the media as pretty much united against it, unlike America, plus we didn't have 9/11 to get us riled up for war. We were pretty much dragged kicking and screaming into the middle-east by our politicians and the people have not forgiven them, I don't think they ever will.

I mean, look at Syria for example. I watched Parliament debate whether we should intervene live and the number one argument against it every time was Iraq. That was before ISIS, before any of this shit. It was bad then, now it's going to be worse.

Unless MI6 blow up Buckingham Palace or the Argies decide to have a go again, the British army is going nowhere,

Fucking embarrassing. Poland used to be cool when it was a real power and not a joke of a nation that bows to everyone willing to offer it crumbs.

It makes me want to puke sometimes, honestly. They just don't GET IT, or are paid to feign ignorance and fuck the region up some more. I just watched a short excerpt from Hague's speech here ( http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=e88_1403829949&comments=1 ) and you know, I just felt like banging my head on the wall a couple of times to deal with the unbearable, inconceivable, levels of ignorance and hypocrisy coming out of that his mouth. The UK, US, and France, are all in line spouting the exact same thing without acknowledging any facts whatsoever, and just going on with their duplicitous rhetoric unhinged like psychopaths. If this war is going to end, it requires at least one of these 3 to back down or change their tone in some way or the other. Otherwise it can go on indefinitely, much to the chagrin of EVERYBODY here in the region (except the KSA and Qatar, but the former has started to realized the chickens are coming home to roost).

Russia already controlled the Black Sea port and already had a military base there.

oh m8 that's been common knowledge for years. The funny thing now is that ISIL is being more successful than the CIA planned and so they're rushing to reign in what is still essentially a controlled and funded "rebellion".

How its been for the last 20 years (think Egypt, Libya, Syria, Iraq):
Step 1. If an arab country has a functioning government, destroy it by funding rebels
Step 2. Install a shitty government that cant control its people and send in US military to "train" the new military, but really just get them to guard US strategic assets
Step 3. When shitty government eventaully gets overthrown or is threatened by a functioning one, go back to step 1 (egypt soon)

There's not much Ukraine left.

The few crazies that are left behind are doing stupid things, and have a russia-hate boner. There's nothing you can do to bring the crazy's back. >Russia already controlled the Black Sea port and already had a military base there.

The Kiev Kosher Coup was going to scrap Russia's lease on Crimea and literally evict the Russian navy, from their own historical Russian port of Crimea. Reason Putin had to act so fast. Massive insane Russian/Putin win on this one.

>Fun fact: Crimea was the most money-draining part of Ukraine and relied on subsidies from Kiev to stay afloat. Now Russia has to pay for that.

Meaningless to the overall strategic importance of Russia having Crimea. Now also the $90 million dollar lease Russia was paying to Kiev is obsolete now that Crimea is Russian clay again.

The Kosher Coup in Kiev (Nudelman/Kagan strategy to weaken Russia) was massively czech-mated and counter-punched by Putin.

This is such a massive Russian win the entire US strategic team should anhero but since they live in a world of deception and lies, they just continue as if nothing matters.

lol they got fucking raped.
Thank God for Vladimir the Just of Russia.

>It wouldn't be much longer after US performed this maidan coup.
But don't you get it? If it was a coup and the new Ukrainian government tried to take your military base and port, you would have 100% legitimate reasons to go in with your military and annex Crimea, and no one would have the right to complain.

Yeah, Crimea is matter, still don't idealize Putin, he is actually thief(at least his friends are thieves, it is proven) and all this story not about the world dominance, or something, but about gas-trading. Putin want trade cheap gas with Europe. USA want trade expensive gas with Europe. Europe want to buy cheap gas, but they(maybe) afraid of Russia's invasion(which DEFINITELY will not happen).
So Russia will try to make peace with Ukraine, USA will pretend to don't notice it, and propose more sanctions on gas-trading, and Europe will try to avert any sanctions on gas-trading.
Crimea - yes, seems like it was about fleet.

Say that to Assad bombing ISIL
Say that to Gaddaffi when he was fighting Al-Qaeda

You have to understand that foreign policy is literally about saying black is white and having everyone nod and clap vigorously when you do so.

Reason and logic means nothing; truth has no place in foreign policy decisions.

>There's nothing you can do to bring the crazy's back. I say just spend some gov't money giving free relocation of ukrainians who want to stick with russia to some border towns, and then in a couple of years when Rasmussen retires return their rightful clay by force.

Rasmussen the clown is cruisin for a bruisin. In my opinion, Vlad is playing a complicated game in Ukraine. He could easily roll into Novorossiya and grab it back in a day, but he is also playing for alliance with France/Germany over their American/HATO alliances. America wants to paint Adolf Putin as the "new Hitler" to fortify HATO reason to even exist long past its due date. (and to extend and strengthen the cold war and military contracts and occupations etc)

Second goal or end is Putin wants to keep the entire Ukraine favorable to Russia and more within the Russian sphere than EU sphere. So the man is on a tightrope with no easy solutions.

All we can do is watch history unfold......

My money is on comrade Putin and glorious Mother Russia.

my money is on NATO seeing as Ukraine has already FTA'd with EU and is gonna join. But in doing so it's lost half its country so its not like its the same Ukraine joining the EU that it was a year ago. Missing half the country, missing tonnes of population that have emmigrated, etc.

Your comment confirms my opinion, that Vlad is playing a complicated game, much more complicated and nuanced than just "grabbing Donetsk and Lugansk" back. But as you said, about gas and European trade and friendship.

Putin wants it. Not just some more clay in Novorossiya.

But understanding all that, I hope he doesn't betray the Donbas people, that would break my heart.

It's not worth it, to betray your soul and your own people and your own blood, just for increased trade and wealth with wealthy Western Europe.

Agree with your entire comment, but the "perception of truth" is important, who can control the propaganda message and the minds of the sheeple is important. (truth itself has long been discarded in the west)

ahh fuckin' psaki

I always enjoy watching her speeches to laugh at her.
And that godly AP reporter who rips into her every time.

Maybe they choose her on purpose so we are too busy laughing to do anything serious about what's happening

Technically HATO cannot accept any country with territorial disputes. So the Crimea grab perpetually disqualifies Ukraine from membership, as also Donbas does. Now HATO can discard their own rules, but they haven't so far.

And if France and Germany dump HATO they just become a joke-- with the US, Georgia, Moldova and a few other joke nothing countries as members. And Poland the idiots.

Maybe Germany can join Russia on a military basis, and France economically, and England dumping the whole EU project.

Putin can win and take his time doing it.

I fully agree, even though i wasn't supporting the whole idea about south-west of Ukraine - because hohols are brothers (stupid brothers, but still), and it is not good when there are bombing, shooting and killing in Ukraine.
But we pledge (not formally, but it was obviously) support to rebels, they were counting on us. Damn, on our imageboard even were threads, created by government's paid commentators, where anons were proposed to go as volunteers in Donetsk and Lugansk!
It will be clearly betrayal, if our government will not take care of all these people.

But still looks like they will not. They love gas-trading better.
Well, let's just what will happen. Maybe they will take them in Russia at least.

>>26314133
I also find that odd, when they have highly skilled liars. I mean skilled diabolical liars like Hillary Clinton, and Victoria Nudelman, who can tear a question to shreds and sneer at you while they do it, so they put up imbeciles like Psaki and Harf??

I don't get that at all. They are probably the only two females who were relatively hot and young and willing to sleep with John Kerry (a well-known punter and maybe in your terms a "lad")
>>
>>26314436
a sicklad m8, not just any lad.

We're onto something here. There must be some reason why they purposely pick dumbshits like Psaki and Harf who stumble through questions contradicting themselves; lashing out poorly and showing logical weakness and hypocrisy all the time. Surely they have far better propagandists, hell your average news reporter is better than them.

Why State Department?

Yes that's the double-game. Putin has to support his Donbas rebels, but also keep the whole Ukraine friendly to Russia. Almost an impossible task.

But I look at the sophisticated anti-aircraft missiles that the donbas volunteers have, and their obvious skills and strength at keeping the Kiev conscript army at bay, as a sign that Putin will not abandon the new old Russia "Novorossiya" either.

>"keep at bay" = to counter, to defend against aggression and stop your attackers from destroying you. Also has a meaning in hunting terms.

Let's see what happens and hope for the best.

Tell the donbas rebels to seek battlefield truces with the Kiev army, as most of them are forced conscripts who don't want to be there and who don't want to fight, and consider you brothers as well.

That's a puzzling question. I'll czech with my contacts for any insight. Like I said only two ideas I have is

1- names Psaki and Harf sound really jewish, so they get the job by nepotism
2- Harf is really hot and if she's banging John Kerry he gives her rocket promotions up the ladder of success at state. Psaki maybe looks good to a dementia rattled senile old fuck
