I am 24 years old and I am financial adviser, lecturing on economics, management and business ethics. Homens são XY, mulheres são XX. Todo homem herda 1 cromossomo X da mãe, e 1 cromossomo Y do pai. As mulheres em contrapartida herdam 1 cromossomo X da mãe, e 1 cromossomo X da avó paterna, onde grande parte dos genes presentes neste cromossomo X são inativos quando há presença de um cromossomo Y, porém grande parte dos cromossomos que permanecem ativos são responsáveis pelo desenvolvimento cognitivo. Todo macho em toda espécie que possui reprodução sexuada é literalmente uma fêmea mutante.
Como todo homem herda seu cromossomo X da mãe, portanto, a inteligência masculina é herdada em grande parte da mãe. Mulheres em contrapartida possuem dois cromossomos X, onde dependendo do desvio de inativação de um dos cromossomos X esta mulher pode expressar características genéticas quase exclusivamente herdadas mãe ou da avó paterna (daí a maior incidência de autoimunidade em mulheres, quando 1 cromossomo X é demasiadamente dominante e reage contra as outras células X).
Isso também explica porquê mulheres possuem um desvio de QI menor que o dos homens: menos mulheres em patamar retardado de inteligência, porém também menos mulheres em patamar de genialidade intelectual, devido sua inteligência híbrida entre mãe e avó paterna; enquanto homens possuem maiores chances de nascerem gênios, porém também possuem maiores chances de nascerem retardados, justamente por herdarem sua inteligência quase exclusivamente da mãe, daí mãe retardada = filho igualmente retardado; mãe retardada + pai inteligente = filha não tão retardada quanto a mãe, porém não tão inteligente quanto o pai.
Ainda há dúvidas com relação a isso porém também acredita-se que o cromossomo Y é responsável pelo aumento na cognição masculina, pois a atuação na caça e no combate forçaram o cromossomo Y a desenvolver características que aprimoram a cognição masculina e sobrepõem algumas do cromossomo X.

I've always been a bit of an Americaphile (Ameriphile? There really needs to be a word for this). In fact, my dream is to one day move to America (though I've heard it's very difficult).
My earliest memories consist of distinctly American culture, like my Dad (of Canadian extraction, himself) playing me blues music and Ry Cooder singing old songs like "Vigilante Man." I grew up watching movies from the golden age of Hollywood and, when I got older, I gravitated towards American literature and studied American politics at University.
I basically find your country fascinating. There's a youthfulness and vibrancy to American culture and history. My native Europe feels like a place suffocating under the weight of oppressive tradition, where the United States is always in the process of reinventing, of perfecting itself. It's a country in a constant state of energetic flux.
I love steeping myself in US history, with its larger-than-life cast of heroes and villains. Your culture and folklore resonate with me a lot more than my own.
I'm a very political person, and I always believed very strongly in Thomas Paine's maxim that "The cause of America is in a great measure the cause of all mankind." America is the reason that we in Europe enjoy our liberty and US values are values we should all strive to emulate.
My question is; do you, as Americans, find this kind of thing weird? A foreigner expressing such deep admiration and identification with your country? Is it flattering instead? I've always been curious what the reaction would be to a Spaniard crossing the pond and expressing patriotism for a land he wasn't born in.
