Does your culture have mythological creatures in its folklore and is it represented in contemporary media?
Babayaga
It is a male assassin from the russian folklore, who lives in America and likes dogs
Hiisi
Specifics of them change based on the storyteller, but generally some sort of scary trolls. This is why there is no agreed upon look for them and no general artwork available.
There are natural formations and even workings of ancient civilizations that could only be explains as the workings of hiisi, like hiidenkivi and hiidenkirnu and hiidenkiuas.
Then there is vetehinen, general waterbeing.

Should I learn Spanish or French?
My degree requires me to take 4 semesters of a language. I took Spanish in high school but I like French more because of the culture (I've been practicing on Duolingo). I'm an American and I plan on living in LA, but I doubt I'll be talking to Mexicans at work or hanging around them.
German is the only right answer
>>78379207
Most Germans (that you would want to talk to) can speak English already. Also I would almost never get the chance to practice German irl, but that also applies to French.
Spanish because you already had it, French is too complicated and has a lot of focus on pronounciation and since you're an Ameritard you're going to sound like a spastic
