Memory vs reference! Pick an animal. Only draw it from memory then draw it from a reference image
I did this the other day and tried to get a critique of yhe process from my drawing one professor, guess which one he liked more.
This is so freaky, I wanted to make this exact thread like a few weeks ago. I was going to post a random animal generator link. I tried it but I kind of fucked myself on the one I did at first so I might try again later. Here's the generator I used though. https://www.randomlists.com/random-animals
You have to change it to show 1 animal and cover up the picture area so you can just read the name without seeing the reference.
Always use reference. That is the lesson.
Seriously iamlaffin at that first attempt what the shit.
What the fuck did I ever tried to draw at the beggining?
uwotm8? I draw about 5 times a year, I'm just trying to kill some boredom and redevelop the fine motor skills I once had. At the moment it's like I'm a damn dirty ape trying to draw with a charred spear
Wow raptors really are more like birds than lizards. Thanks Chris Pratt.
No, obviously. It somewhat surprised me I couldn't recognize those. But then again newts rarely come up when discussing feminine dicks and whatnot on this Cantonese cartoon forum.
No idea what I was going for with the background.
This was fun, If I spent more than a few minutes, I think I could have something really great.
Can I have a mild crit?
My pre-reference capybara looks like a fucking hairless bear. This was a really good exercise, thanks OP.
terrible. but, reminded me of pablo for some reason
So ostriches arnt big eyed cartoon characters, sue me
