hey /ic/,

i'm trying to get an inspo board together with portraits with stuff in it. (see pic) i want to make work like these and would love more examples.

to be more specific - this is Manet's Portrait of Emile Zola. all the stuff in the portrait either describe Zola or his relationship with Manet.

doesn't have to be traditional oil painting. any medium and era even OC welcome
