more godtier figures like this ?
Do you guys use regular photoshop for these types of line drawings or do you use lazymizumi or a program that has built in line trailing? I cannot get clean drawings like this unless I make 10-20 attempts at each line.
Let's see if people will get angry for posting my own figure drawing I did last term.... At lest I got an award for "exceptional student work" at my atelier so maybe it's not too bad...?
I can't really pretend to be humble when posting in a thread with a title like this one ;)
Yeah, you're right abut that. There are a few things that looking back I would have worked on differently. One is overall gesture, another would be unifying things a bit more so it doesn't look so messy.
I had this problem and I taped a sheet of paper (any kind will do) to the whole surface of my tablet. It gives it a certain friction that is otherwise nonexistent and it helps you guide your stylus as would a pen behave on paper. The tablet's surface is just too smooth. Try that and if that doesn't work, just keep working. I feel like your body needs to adapt and develop the nerves and their dexterity to properly control cause I did a shit-ton of drawing for a while where I would get angry because of my shaky lines, then stopped for a while, then came back and it was suddenly easier. I found myself having a lot more control in general, even if I still need to improve.
i love his messier stuff and check out thought of you if you haven't seen it
Is there anyone better than Jaime Jones at speedy life drawings?
Not the same, on tablet is more slippery; depending on your tablet you might be working on a smaller surface than the screen multipliying any movement; if you are working on the edge your hand can fall off , etc, etc, etc.
It's ok to use a litte help.
and all the people who learned to make smooth lines without it?
how many pros are playing with bumpers
It's not like you can even compare lazy nezumi to training wheels because even kids at least grow out of them. Lazy nezumi and the smoothing in paint tool sai aren't "a little help" they're crutches
