Been working on the official Super Wizard Bros.™ soundtrack when I haven't been drawing.
The control layout is similar to mario but it has Sonic gotta go fast mechanics, such as scoring you at the end of the level based on how fast you went and how little you fucked up.
im late lads you aren't all better than me already r-right
I get the same feeling for big red, except I just want her to dominate me with her angry love.
you think you can just insult my gender like this? i a'm literally attracted to horses. give Stacie a minute and she will try to steal the stage. good for you.
>unironically claiming to not be a faggot.
stay frosty lad.
what'd they say?
did you tell them that attention whoring is okay now that it is THE CURRENT YEAR?
you wont fix your figures. right now your brain is fighting two different challenges:
1 drawing with the tablet
2 drawing period
i suggest you actually draw in paper and then make studies in the tablet. also organize yourself your doodles seem chaotic and random thus making you "waste time"
draw slowly and feel it out, put on classical music or some shit and relax, of course its going to suck but you scribbling like an idiot isnt going to help
I must admit it was a challenge but I tend to scribble almost as unintelligibly when I'm in a hurry.
>this is how my brain (solicss? sclisis?)
>imagine on no this how our (rover?) stranger
>blind eyes and steel (?) dreams
>no more name faggin
you need to understand what you're drawing, your mind is still thinking about the tablet, do less tablet and more paper. i mean, if you have the time...but lets be serious theres no "true" way to learn you can do it your way too.
go back to tumblr, you little nigger
I could care less what your sex is, what matters here is your actions and your words
Seriously what is up with your 'I'? That's either an 'R' or a bad 'F'.
I refuse to believe even the writer could read that.
i'm not letting you run away who ever you are.
Thanks anon, I was disappointed because it seemed amusing but I didn't check the thread until it was already deleted, so I could only see the thumbnail. Now to get to work deciphering this shit.
>the apathy and egotistical way of life
>I suffer from not being able to verbally express myself
>I eagerly await
>yearning to be eaten
I don't think the handwriting is your problem you edgy little shit.
seeing that other anons also want to someday make some games in their lives really lift me up, you gave me a great smile since i share a similar wish, i hope you get your shot man i like the idea.
I want to draw her for a las submission and I can't think of a good pose, any ideas?
naw senpai there's downtimes on here because everyone shitposts their little hearts out until it's past their bedtime and then it gets all calm and quiet.
Your edge was quite something though. You on antidepressants or something, or just 16?
>tfw this thread is dead because it's friday night
>tfw 99% of the participants are out having fun
>they're probably having a party to celebrate being in the last 100
>tfw they didn't invite me
>tfw I'm all alone
Shitposting on /pol/ on a wayne lambright thread. What a time to be alive.
>Never been near 23:30
>Always draw at night because the new day starts in the middle of my day
>Have done almost 30 minutes but it's a boring update and I want to finish the painting to submit
>Eyes trying to sleep
What do? Keep going until my brain shuts off or go to bed now?
>Falling asleep at my computer hype.
It's an okay feel.
Anon, use it to fuel your grinding to git gud. Who cares if you draw your favorite character, waifu, whatever like shit at it first? The next drawing of them will be better, and the next even better. Eventually you'll feel slightly content with how you're portraying them and you'll be pushing yourself further every time. It's really helped me this past year, so it wouldn't hurt for you to try anyway.
You are automatically added to each new challenge when you post during it. Let's say you are in week one. You have posted every day and then week one ends. All that means it's that whoever is in week one is all that can compete in week one until there is only one person not eliminated. You only have those seven days to join each weeks pool of contestants. Week two is over and 150 people joined? That's it for week two. Let's see who lasts the longest from week two's entrants. Etc.
01:00 is my bedtime so I miss the shitposting primetime
Do any of you use lazy nezumi?
I feel like if I keep using it, I'll start relying on it too much but it helps a lot
Have it installed but only really ever used it after I could set the grids up myself, so it was just a timesaver for me, though I don't really ever bother using it now. Just kinda eyeball it
I was drinking by myself and hunting down Jews to cleanse on a literal Israel Defense Force server
Then went to sleep and just woke up. Do as other anon said and spend the downtime on /pol/, the Aussies never sleep so it's shitposting 24/7.
I honestly don't see why not.
So long as you aren't just pumping out four shitty indie sprites and calling it a day.
Nobody will win LAS #1. Its rate of ellimination is logarhytmical. As more people get elliminated it takes longer for the same amount of people to get elliminated, and eventually it will take longer than a human lifespan. It will continue for centuries.
>Son, we're going to get you started drawing every day.
>You see boy, some day I won't be here anymore. And when that happens, I'll need you to carry on my life's work.
>What's that, pops?
>We're going to be the last artist standing, son.
I kinda wonder if the code is structured to handle hundreds of active weekly challenges with thousands of daily submissions per user. The way it is structured now, no challenge will end as long as there are people left in #1.
What makes you think that you weak minded hobbyist. I'm gonna break RoboGabo's streak.
someday i will be able to draw horses and will find ways to include horses into all my drawings like the panda guy from WoW
Just do pic related and they'll leave you alone
Do you know if it was a manual removal or was it a mistake like moving the image or it getting taken down? I'd say let it go this time, but if it happens too often I'd get suspicious. And does the person seem like they've been putting decent effort into their other submissions?
I doubt it. Eliminations will slow down from here on.
That's one way to put it. Another way is that it has a half-life. The LAS #1 guys are the radioactive power of the future art world.
how about each month the time constrain increases by half hour (next month would have to be 1 hour spent on a drawing), so that in months or years it gets actually physically impossible to do the challenge, then you could implement a highscoreboard with who has the most challenges under their belt, who has the longer lasting challenge, etc
also im drunk and english is not my main language so apologies
>tfw ready for forza
Saturdays are nice, I have so much time to draw.
I don't want the challenge to people with more free time. And an extra half hour per month is ridiculous, you'd have to draw for six and a half hours every day by the time a year passed. It wouldn't last long at all. I like the way it is now, of course you can draw longer, but if you're busy it's not impossible to fit it into your schedule. I don't think the challenge is meant to be very difficult, it's just to impose the good habit of drawing every day.
I feel like there should be some way to commend people who have made great progress.
The way LAS works right now means that some turbo autist like saucy can post the same hot garbage every day and win challenges with ease while some beginner who has clawed their way up to being decent gets nothing.
>while some beginner who has clawed their way up to being decent gets nothing.
He gets to be good now.
That's the whole point of this shit.. Retard achievements on a tiny site mean absolutely fucking nothing, just like the amount of followers you have here.
Well the idea of weekly challenge prompts keep getting tossed around. Maybe once those start people who go the extra mile to do those as well can get an achievement or badge or whatever showing they did that extra challenge.
Yeah pretty much this. The site will only ever reward/acknowledge dedication and there may some day be optional competitions (aka popularity contests.) They won't affect the outcome of the LAS though
I like achievements even on things that don't matter so I'm going to add them but they'll be for dumb things
I always feel like the people who post in the last few minutes are getting shafted, since virtually no one will see their work
gaijin: Your colors on that apple look fine, keep it up buddy!
mathias: That head study looks great!
Fibinochi: try placing the vanishing points outside of the paper, you're getting that crazy deformation because they're too close together bro; don't be afraid of drawing them off-paper, on your desk, and using a long ruler!
mmrgl: nice purple titties bro :>
echo: nice rendering man, looking forward to seeing the final
Couldn't upload in time, because the site just wouldn't let me.. I spent about 5 minutes just waiting for it load, but nothing happened in the end. It just rolled over to the next day.
Everything else loaded just fine, it's only this site I've been having issues with..
>>last post was 7 seconds before the deadline
achievements haven't been implemented yet you absolute madman
maybe we should have one for the closest submission to the deadline, then once someone gets 23:59:59s people will be competing for the last milliseconds
The rollover happens at an incredibly inconvenient time of day for me. I joined forza so I can spend the main part of the day working on my picture rather than only having a couple hours after I wake up.
You must forsake the thumbnail if you want to achieve true speed
That would be funny. Would the badge be for submitting latest in one day, so multiple people would get it, or would only one person, the recordholder, have it at a time? Maybe we could have both. Let's have the same thing for earliest submission, as well.
Post your drawing stations.
I didn't last time so I'll do it now. I've straightened it out some since I took this but it's about the same. Got some shelves for the shit that was on the couch now.
Genius MousePen i608x , Logitech K400r, pen and paper.
>Anon when are we going to have sex?
>Shut up woman and give me some poses for my figure drawing.
>But anon i...
>Jesus could you drop some weight? i can't draw shit like this.
Hey Lava, grach here. Just checked the site again and it says that I have to make a double post to stay in the game. The thing is that after >>2374648 happened and the roll-over to the next day, my submission just magically loaded and got posted on the next day instead (for some reason). It seems like it didn't even register as yesterdays OR todays submission, it just got stuck in this limbo.
(I'll be at work tomorrow and I'll have only 3-4 hours of drawing time when I get home..)
hey!! thanks a bunch, my tumblr url is raymonddunster.tumblr.com. your stuff is also lovely, probably!!
I really like your colors and shapes. And sheep are great, I trained a yearling to show once and she turned into such a sweet little thing. There's nothing like hugging warm, squishy wool in winter.
Jesus. By the way, are you students in art or something else? My major's totally unrelated to art, but I imagine art students must be having a really easy time with this challenge since you need to draw for class anyways.
that's amazing!! I really want to try working with animals in a farm kind of setting, but it's just a fanciful dream at this point (as if working in the arts isn't!!). makes me wish I'd tried it when I was younger, I feel I'd have to put my life on hold to look into it now.
It honestly probably wouldn't be that hard to keep sheep if you have a house with a decently sized backyard. One of my teachers in high school kept sheep, and he didn't have a full-sized farm and obviously balanced it with a career. I don't think they'd need very much space, since they're very flock-oriented and prefer to stay close together, they don't really spread out like cattle or horses. I'd say they'd be content with a minimum of three individuals (two is okay too, but they'd probably be happiest with more), the main concern would be buying hay and setting aside the time to clean the pen and shear them, but they only need to be shorn twice a year and it doesn't take very long to just get the wool off if you're not worried about getting a perfect show trim. You could totally have a career as an artist and also own sheep, I'm not sure how expensive they are to keep but I don't think time would be an big issue, at least.
>Dreamt about my submission is deleted
>some anon shouting "it's 15 minute top ffs"
>don't know it's dream or real
>check the site immediately
>my submission haven't deleted
Lava it's early in the morning here. Leave me alone ffs.
>tfw I draw 10 hours a day and still have plenty of free time
>There were 4 submissions all at the exact same time right after the rollover
>tfw you might've been partly responsible for screwing over someone else's submission
I started small and worked my way up. I eventually capped at about 4-5 hours because while I tried to draw a lot, whenever I started a game, anime episode, or browsed the web I'd completely lose track of time. I made a schedule and have dedicated myself to following it.
hahaha, something for the far flung future, I suppose!! sucks that if you just want one sheep you have to get three or more of them, but the more the merrier! maybe I'll just marry rich.
Watching spice and wolf while drawing trash
I've seen it before so I know what's going on, I just like having background noise and couldn't think of anything else to put on.
If you have something to suggest then please. Seriously.
I'm going on a trip soon and I won't be able to post AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
oh sweet he came back
>tfw some anons I'm following went inactive
Just wanted to let everyone know that I haven't been slacking off on the site. I had planned to have the next update out today but there was more work than I expected. I've essentially been rewriting the entire site because I did a bad job the first time. I'll give daily updates on the progress and the current update is around 60% complete
>trying to draw someone falling down
>attempt to make the motions myself to get a better idea
>actually trip and hit the edge of the bed
>Sat quietly drawing in room after long day of meeting in-laws
>in-laws come in.
>quickly try to hide drawing
>"oh are you an artist OP, i love art can i see what your drawing"
>they pick up drawing that fell to floor as you tried to hide it
>in-laws see your drawing of sonic sucking his own dick
>they leave the room without another word
>mfw in-laws now know my dark secret
>not figure drawing strippers at your bachelor party
>not drawing guests at the rehearsal dinner
>not drawing at the altar
>not drawing while consummating your marriage
It's like you don't want to be LAS.
The writing isn't very good but I'll read more if you use them as your LAS submissions
Nearly didn't submit today because I know my sketches are so boring and rubbish that it's a waste of time for anybody who makes the mistake of clicking on them.
Fortunately my thumbnails are really boring so I think that puts people off.
It's also depressing because when I do make the effort to draw something that might be fun to look at, I worry people actively avoid clicking in me because my work is usually so boring/bad
do not be sad anon, you may suck now but if you keep at it you will get better, which is really the true purpose of LAS.
you own fucking fault saucy. how are the memes now? aint funny? aint it grand? hahaha?
I post at the end of the day because barely any people click on those ones, the high view count when I tried team forza made me too uncomfortable.
I think most people must only look at submissions when they post their own and don't check any that come after on that day.
Alright, those of you guys who warned me about a week and a half back that doing nothing but studies was gonna burn you out?
You guys might've been on to something. I don't know why but I can't muster any focus today for some reason. I can't proportion angles or calculate relative widths of lines; I just feel exhausted.
Same, that's why i went back to drawing gestures.
Fuck all that just open photoshop or grab some stationary and mess around for an hour with colours or brushes. Call it a day to get to more familiar with the tools.
A lot of the time I just pick an image I like and try to reproduce it, it's easy to get motivated for that kind of thing, there's less thinking and you can dive straight in. Call it a quick master study or whatever.
Yeah, but there's no way in hell I can submit random color blobs for my entry and I haven't really made the transition to digital yet.
I guess if my mind's not working; I could always improve my shaky-ass hands with some biomechanical exercises drawing lines, ellipses and basic shapes.
You don't have to do studies for every submission. For plenty of mine I've just drawn what I wanted to, even if I had to do WIPs for some consecutive days. Probably less productive than doing daily studies, but I want to actually make original art too. I do studies when I'm less inspired.
Since you don't have much experience with digital, you could actually get away with just doing a bunch of practice scribbles to figure out how it all works.
>tell noobie to check out scott robertson's book
>check in a week later
>they've copied the ellipses in the book instead of trying to draw their own
>tfw they were proud of the ellipses they made from reference
don't be like anon, anon
