Lads, I've been working on some ideas that I think would be suited by markers, been looking around, what are your opinions? Poscas looked pretty nice, but I've got no experience with markers, and I'm guessing seeing as they weren't listed...

Prismacolors are good then? Their pencils are lush.

There markers would be OK if there standard tip wasn't so shit.

The W&N pigment markers look real interesting, so do the watercolour markers.

If you're going for Prismas, get their brush markers. Unless you like the chisel tips, then feel free to get those if ya want.
For a cheaper option, and if you can find them, Spectrum Noir markers are OK for starters.

I was thinking the same.

Borrowed some black Copics, pretty nice. I'd need to use colours to see how they really go down though I think. After some doodling I reckon I'm after some fairly thick inks, the appearance of acrylic.

A few brands like Golden, Liquitex, and Daler-Rowney have acrylic drawing inks that would probably be what you're looking for. Comes in different colours and what not; could use acrylic mediums with it too. I haven't personally tried those brands, but I have an acrylic ink from Eon that seems to flow alright & is rather water-resistant.

There are acrylic markers around as well. I have heard that some have flow problems but I guess that should be expected from such a product.

What do you folks think of the Copic Ciao markers? I have a greyscale set of copics and I'm thinking of branching into color and from what I've been told the Ciaos are a good (and affordable) place to start.

looks pretty good, think some of your lines could be smoother
also more effort of doing hands right, they are a good indicator of skill
don't be afraid to use tracing of drafts for your final work
