You should play through the Yakuza series and realize how badass Dragons and Onis can be. Good luck finding a tattoo artist who can replicate something like this though. Most of them are pretty mediocre now of days.

Random question, but how do you guys decide the time interval between getting a new tattoo? I already have one, and have ideas for other ones, but I'm not sure how much time I should let pass between getting them.

you find a tattoo artist you like and you discuss your ideas together, then they draw it out for you and if you like it you get it tattooed. I think usually you dont even have to draw out anything for them if you dont want to.

That's correct. You will more than likely have a different art style than your artist anyway, which could even make it more complicated. You can bring references with you though and then go from there.
