Bit of an odd choice of image for Leyendecker considering how good/more famous some of his other work is. Also a mixture of Loomis and Leyendecker would probably be pretty dull. Look at someone like Hirohiko Araki and compare their work ethic to the average comic artist. The average artist working in comics can't even do more than one job at a time.

Most high end mangaka have a few assistants, you'll notice in Stone Ocean the some of the background characters are in silhouettes, probably because assistants drawing would clash with Araki too much. The Japanese have an insane work-ethic, but sleeping 2 hours a day is a bit demanding though.

I would say that one thing the Japanese really nailed is guiding the eye in their comics. Taking HxH as a random example, the flow of dialogue and pictures is perfect. Compared this to any random western comic where the author and artist are separate people, so you have back-and-forth dialogue with multiple different expressions in the same damn panel.
