Could someone here help me do an easy job?
(as new to editing I don't know how to do it myself)
I need to add this gif to this picture.
http://t1.daumcdn.net/brunch/service/user/6g7/image/uSCCdbok-ZtJpraS8V4sDp11LKY.jpg
Would love the grey background on gif to be transparent and in the middle.
Cheers to anyone to help me.

You want to go to/wsr/ friend, this board is for artists trying to get better.
I decided to properly understand anatomy so I am going to trace the muscles over photos of models etc. I am looking for good anatomy refferences with all the muscles and joints visible. I had a good anatomybook a long time ago but this shitkid stole it to masturbate to it... since then I haven't found anything with the same quality. Can anyone help with a link to a page or with images they themselves use?
The picture I included is sort of what I'm looking for.

>properly understand anatomy
If youre trying to go hardcore with anatomy, maybe check out a anatomy/physiology book; or medical books on the body.
If youre just trying to git gud at anatomy then do (the same repeated names throughout ic) Loomis, Hampton, Bridgeman, Vilppu, and franzetta
you try asking the book thread for some anatomy books?
>>2860720
Yeah I am trying to master anatomy like how the old painters did. Basically git gud yeah. For now I have the time on my hands. Unfortunately the internet is full of self proclaimed experts and I find that many of the pictures on google have faults in them. Also am tired of anatomybooks full of 60 min sketches with half assed representations of the underlying anatomy. I will do that and thank you very much for your reply.
>>2860762
Sorry I didn't mean git gud. I want to be able to own that shit y'know?
Monster Art Thread
>post your original Monster Art
>What your inspirations for it were.
>>2863874
I sculpted and painted this monster. I was imagining how many different configurations of body parts Dr. Frankenstein might have went through before he found one that worked.
>be me
>hear from someone that instagram is a good way to promote your art
>say, why not?
>proceeds to fill in the blanks manually cause' I dont want my public facebook account to be associated to my furry/pony artwork account (all safe but still) inb4...
>instagram raises me the finger and links this new account to all of my extended family and work companions showing both my art pseudonym and real name at the same time.
>erases account immeadiately after realising this
>a few of my followers started to follow me on personal accounts.
>fuck
>>2861564
>don't create a secondary FB account specially for this degenerate artworks
Oh shit anon don't know if it's the system which are fucked up or you
>>2861564
I am so sorry anon. This is one of my worst nightmares, which is why I stay off FB and don't bother with instagram since they won't even allow me to log in through proxies.
How do I fix my life, /ic/?
>>2861473
Ceru, muh nigga.
Depends on what you mean by "fix"
You seem to be under the assumption there's a "fixed"
>>2861478
The biggest problem I have right now is procrastination.
Even right now I'm procrastinating and not draw by making this thread. But I also procrastinate in other things. I need help, man.
I'm a shit artist. Barely one level above an absolute fucking beginner. But that's neither here nor there.
I know about the concepts I have to learn. I also know that the best way to go about learning them is applying and thinking about these concepts while drawing from life.
But here's where I have problems starting. Drawing from life is pretty restrictive. I live a 9 to 5 day, so sources for things to draw directly from life are pretty limited. On top of that: I heard that drawing directly from photograph may be detrimental to learning. I'd love to get started and just to keep going, but I find myself restricted by having something to fucking draw. Even the gesture websites start getting repetitive, and I've seen each picture almost twice.
How do you jump in and practice, without wasting so much time digging for source material? Work eats up a lot of time, so I want to spend as little time as possible to prepare to draw.
Just fucking draw.
>>2861375
Not gonna make it.
>>2861375
use a whiteboard, write what you'll draw today and tomorrow you'll figure it out how to use one properly to gather thoughts with youtubing I don't have to write an essay
Kind of a weird question but I accidentally drank some dirty solvent on accident while I was painting (got it mixed up with my drink). It was only a mouthful and I feel okay. Mouth has a bad taste in it.
Should I make myself throw up or do you think I'll be ok? I'd like to avoid medical help (I don't have insurance right now).
inb4 OP is a faggot drink the rest tokillyourself
>>2858410
I've drank worse and am only mildly retarded
you'll be fine
hell be fine
>>2858410
Try burping onto a lit match
Any Germanfags here planning to go to the 'Künstlerstadt Kalbe'?
Is it worth going there? Is it really about art or just pretentious postmodern shit?
>>2863484
All German men of character were exterminated during WWII, leaving only the genetic material for producing degenerate cucks and weakling traitors. So I'm sure you can guess what the art will look like.
>>2863500
>"Everyone is an artist." "art and culture through the effects of demographic change"
bingo.
>>2863484
Their art looks like shit. Those people also look like literal cucks.
What a shame since I only live like 30 km away from it.
deals weed , got some ps4 games and a drone , haha .... never seen a drone , could never afford a ps4 , ....oh look , converse shoes , the latest in fashion !!! fuck my life , fuck my location , 50 years behind times , while the computer shows the fucking future, guess where im from ....

>>2863474
It's alright but maybe there should be something in his right hand.
>>2863474
oh yeaa!
this guy is the definition of cool.
I just need a creative release of some kind. I'm not trying to do anything other than work some things out through my own artistic exploration. Say whatever you think about the piece I've posted. I'm looking forward to doing this instead of writing a journal everyday. Expect more later on. Thanks.
>>2863419
>Expect more later on
Please, no. This board is too shitty already. We don't need another [s4s].
jaggy/10
use MSAA
I recommend 8x but your fps might suffer
>>2863419

Calarts
http://www.animatedbuzz.com/public/forum_post/9e/ed/ecb1_3ac0.jpg?c=0a9f
Why does everyone love the latter, and think anyone who appreciates the former is an evil racist?
>>2861483
literally what the FUCK are you talking about OP
how are these two schools at all comparable esp. in terms of academic goals, and who the fuck even has an opinion on the Russian Academy of Arts
>>2861483
because russians are evil racists
Delete this thread and kill yourself
calarts has been criticized a lot as of late. compared to their contemporaries at gobelins and other high-tier art schools calarts student drawings look like scribbles
I'm destroying all of my art bit by bit, and it's kind of sickening. It was good and took me years so I feel emotional. I'm hoping it will free me eventually
If this place closes down I think I'll be a lot happier too.
Brian you already have a thread, stop making new ones.
Artists that are anti art as usual. Maybe I'm the same? I thought we could have a combined victory, YBA was finished. I'll be glad when it's gone, what a really bad experience that was.
*yawn*
not your blog, nobody cares
Feng Zhu says being surrounded by positive motivation is important to improve. Why is /ic/ a bunch of assholes most of the time. So is hugbox actually a meme? is that why tumblrinas are better than most of /ic/?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k3Al7QAS89s
>>2845057
Because we're anonymous. Guaranteed 70% of you are on some form of IRC with a name attached to your work changes your attitude quick. But when you're on the eyesore you be as asshole you truly meant to be.
>>2845058
honestly "is that why tumblrinas are better than most of /ic/?" is the most asshole thing I've said in anon...
>>2845057
Of course, you will be encouraged to stick with it. Meanwhile, people here hate every moment of drawing, want to give up and kill themselves. This place is a toxic shithole
>go to school for art
>become illustrator
>after graduation want to work in character design or concept art
> concept art jobs now require "experience sculpting in 3d in Autodesk Maya or Zbrush"
>look up Autodesk Maya to download it and practice with it on my own
> it's around $250 a month
TL; DR. When you go to school and practice being a 2d artist most of your life and find out the jobs you want now require knowledge of 3d sculpting or texturing programs
>>2852242
Were you going in for design with a 2d animation/graphic novel/etc studio or something like film and games? Because you should've seen that coming a mile away if the latter.
>>2852247
Honestly I originally wanted to just be an illustrator or comic book artist, but I realized a field like that is mostly freelance so I would love to be part of production for a video game or animation studio.
I know how to sculpt and think in 3d, I've just never used the software before.
Sigh.... maybe I'll just look into storyboarding.
Anon you want to study zbrush for concept and design
3D modeling is nice and an important skill to have (there are some things that are much harder to do in zbrush compared to maya) but if you're only going to work on concepts sculpting with zbrush will feel more netural for you.
