Where can I find Clip Studio brushes?
Please don't say from the clip studio assets feature. I can't use that for "reasons".
Also if you have a cool brush feel free to post it
the daub brushes are on cgpeers. i like those
>>2886090
don't fall into the trap of fancy brushes, your work won't look better because of them.
default brushes are the best, because they give you full control of the type of shapes or lines you design, without messing up your edges or relying on accidents instead of developing your own sign language. i don't accept you to agree with me, because it is largely a matter of taste, which is not intangible as you mature as an artist and a person.
the brushes are fun to fool around with, though i admit, especially for sketching
>>2886117
accept=expect
it's late
For clip studio paint, if you download something like a brush from the catalog, do you have to install something after? Or is it automatically added to your program to use?
>>2886005
You can check if it's in your materials now. If not try syncing.
>>2886005
not sure about downloading from the page but once you download a brush by other means you simply drag the file into this and it will work right away.
i just click drag them into the section where i want them (pen brush blender or whatever.)
Got high, drew this
I know I need to improve
I would threfore appreciate contructive criticism

before op throws a bitchfit: people who make their own threads for their art (especially art at your level) it won't be taken seriously
delete this and put it in the beginner thread if you want feedback
Hey /ic/
I have a question.
When you make a program for studies, I mean a plan in how to approach betterment.
How do you do it? What are the plans that have worked for you?
I know you should be consistent, always think of the fundamentals while you do and to do do and do
But are there blogs where famous art students from calarts or art center or even FZD have posted their assignments?
Because sometimes I get down thinking "ok, I'm studying but is it worth it doing it the way I'm doing it?"
I am afraid for some reason, and I can't shut up the voice inside my head that yells at me about failure.
But I will still keep on going, just wanted to know anon's opinion on plans for improvement and defeatist mindset
Pic related. A dwawing of mine that needs more loomis
Bumperino
Make a plan that suits you and how your mind works. A lot of school-based regimens are kept with an assignment in mind, an environment where you become energized from being around other artists, and other things that you simply can't get from the absence of school. The discipline between someone out of school will most likely be not as high as someone in school with a surveillance from instructors and an inherent drive to "impress." You should keep this in mind when you ask about seeing work and such from a student or an industry professional.
A lot of art is fucking up your way to success, i.e. trying, failing the first time, and finding out slowly what works and sticking to that. If you're not ready for this for anywhere from 1-3 years in the learning stage you might as well drop it already.
What is your main goal?
Do you want to draw pretty girls? Fantasy creatures? Fine art? Concept art? Figurative? Sceneries? Nature? Industrial? Animals? Plants? Space ships? Portraits?
"fundies" and studies are supposed to be done to get better at what you want to draw
> GUYS WE NEED A PALETTE!1
> ok i'll just pick this one from a pixar movie and copy it
> OK GREAT THAT IS SO NICE WOW WHAT A NICE PALETTE SO PRETTY IT CONVEYS ALL THE FEELINGS THAT OUR SCENE HAS TO PASS WOW I LOVE THE MOVIE AS WELL WHAT ABOUT THAT PART OH SO GOOD I'M CRYING ALREADY GUYS THIS IS IT
> but hmm guys I think that due to we having X and Y it could be better if used X color instead of these. In fact I believe we should create one from the beggining instead of picking one as it differs slightly from what we w-
>NO BLASPHEMY HOW COULD IT BE GUD WITHOUT THAT ONE COLOR I MEAN PIXAR DID EET
Now, people sit all day during college browsing their 9ga-PINTEREST filling up their folders of palettes and yet they suck so much at colors. why? why do they treat palettes like something so divine and immutable? It sounds almost like people who insist on putting that golden ratio thing everywhere.
And if you create one and it's not based on whatever movie/old painting/dick pick they'll just throw that in the trash. THEN SEARCH FOR A SIMILAR ONE FROM A MOVIE AND OH GOD IT'S ALMOST LIKE THE ONE YOU DID WHAT A FUCKING COINCIDENCE I WONDER WHY MAYBE BECAUSE YOU'RE ACTUALLY CAPABLE OF THINKING.
I dunno what makes me so mad. If it's being looked down upon by not picking pre-made stuff or the fact that everyone doesn't even try to understand how to actually pick colors.
AND THE IRONY IS
the compliment i get the most is OH PRETTY COLORS on whatever shit i render/paint. or maybe because they all suck so much
but when its a group thing and I pick the colors up they just throw it away and oh look a pixar pallete
>GETTING MAD ABOUT COLOR USE
didn't even read your post, only getting a bump because you're being retarded.

relax
For a second I thought this was one of those "paint something using only these colors" thread. What a disappointment.
how many hours estimate did you put into your craft last year, i calculated and at minimum im at 2160 but probably more like 2700 and that was my first year of drawing every day.
>>2884909
meh, probably 1-1,5k but im very inconsistent so idk
>>2884909
show us your progress faggoli
365 days x 1/3 days actually doing something x 1 hour a day
whatever that is
Post your current drawing here and provide helpful criticism and advice to others!
Please make sure your posted image is clear, DOWNSIZED TO AROUND 1000 PIXELS WIDE, ROTATED TO THE CORRECT ORIENTATION, and that any unused space is cropped.
If you want critique on a drawing from the previous thread, you can delete it there and repost it.

Probably MSpaint. Very simple to use and you don't have to pay for it (aside from actually buying the OS).

It's making porn illustrations the only way to have success in patreon?
I mean; I can't find a SFW artist that earn the money than Norasuko, DoxyDoo or even Sinner earn per week.
>>2872591
More like porn is the only way to make a lot of money on patreon
Illustrators do commissions
Only if you're male. It's sad that the only we'll know male artists I know of are Slugbox, Jolly Jack, Gerph, Bleedman, and Gashi Gashi. Shmorky was doing ok for a while before he was exposed as being a pedopphile but I attribute his success 100% to his trans thing. Tom Preston too but he fucked himself.
For the most part though it seems like porn is the common thread among male artists.
>>2872614
Any female artists on Patreon that do porn? Curious to know if they get more simply for the concept of "girl drawing porn".
I'm trying to find a specific photo and I need help!
It's a somber photo of a naked man, a closeup of his waist, his handcuffed hands hang in front of his flaccid penis.
It was a Daily Deviation on DeviantArt many years ago. I've never forgotten it, but I can't find it! If anyone has any ideas please let me know!
BTW,
This is not a joke, it's a beautiful photo and I really would like to find it. I just don't know where else to turn.
And now its time for a BIG heart attack

While there is plenty of overlap they are still two separate skills that need to be developed independently. Do both from the start and don't neglect one for the other. In your first few years of study though you probably want it weighted slightly in favour of drawing from reference.

Because we should not have to make new threads or post in draw threads with our fundamental exercises.
Feel free to post even the smallest exercise you have done to show you are still trying, do not give up, make someone proud.
AVOID asking unrelated questions, there is a question thread for that.
RESIZE YOUR IMAGES TO ~1000 PIXELS:
#1)
>screenshot the image and post that instead (I recommend ShareX)
#2)
>change camera capture settings to something smaller
#3)
>send to computer and resize in MSPaint

Feel free to post your original works as well if you're trash.
TRY TO BE MORE ACTIVE AND GIVE PEOPLE SOME FEEDBACK - many studies are left unreplied, which is a bit sad and can be quite demotivating for the people that try their best to improve, but are left directionless.
