Its possible to draw at a decent level using only the line tool and curve tool? I have motor problems so I cant really use a tablet.

Are you retard? I have hands, they just shake as fuck.
>>

I would advice you to learn 3D instead. You don't require as much hand precision.

Or skip drawing and become a painter instead. You can be more loose if your colors are right.

And if you still want to draw then skip photoshop, install SAI and use the stabilizer at the maximum level with a tablet.

Do you have a set goal in mind or are you just dicking around until you think you're good enough?

Learn how to draw. What you have here is not nearly complex or skilled enough.
>>
Stiff. Unexciting. Generic sameface copy/paste.

It's a free world so you can do what you want - but don't expect any great praise aside from your friend who doesn't draw telling you how talented you are. If anything, hit up the sticky.

it stayed the same for a long time because the style was very specific, even mathematical, and that was the correct way to do things so there was no real motivation to innovate. same for lots of religious art.

Idk if this makes me a bitch but I wish the artists who work in adobe illustrator, photoshop, etc would start posting in the a different board or start a new board for those mediums. Then just leave this board to those who work in oils, acrylics, pastels, charcoal, etc; basically those who work in fine arts.

Another thing; I usually work in oils but I'm experimenting with acrylics and mixed media. I feel that acrylics work best for that. My question is; has anyone ever used soft pastels with acrylic paint? What was your method? How did it turn out? Someone mentioned that you can paint oil over acrylic but not the other way around. Thoughts?

Digital artists far outnumber traditional ones here though. Also many people do both.

>has anyone ever used soft pastels with acrylic paint?
Use the pastels on top

> Someone mentioned that you can paint oil over acrylic but not the other way around. Thoughts?
This has to do with making it archival. You can do acrylics over oils but it will eventually crack and fall apart. I've seen pros do it though, but they said they didn't care about the work lasting. It's also just easier to do acrylics first since they dry way faster.
