.
It teaches you more than just how to draw a box.
the box isn't drawn correctly and it makes me laugh every time, also the founder is an isis-sympathizer/operative
>also the founder is an isis-sympathizer/operative
Story pls?
Is there any particular reason why logos have to be so fucking boring and simple now?
>>2915541
Good question. Most corporate logos have objectively become shit, whereas at one point they used to be good. Maybe it's because everything needs to be a represented by a square iOS app icon, but your guess is as good as mine.
>>2915541
design principies.
I ain't gonna explain that shit.
>>2915541
They are easier to recognize and to use in different aplication or formats
What do you guys think of my room
>>2915109
Nice and pretentious, just the way you like it Mr. Millenial
>>2915109
nice
>>2915109
Looks kinda depressing.
Put in some plants or a beanbag or whatever.
I'd probably replace the scribbles with posters of your idols.
You're an artist man, you should have a bit of knack for interior design.
I love guernica
Picasso is great.
Never met a person who doesn't like Picasso but had good taste in art otherwise. They're either realism nazis or trashy kitsch-loving basic plebs and weebs.
>>2909984
he is pretty great
i remember being young and looking at shit like the OP pic and just thinking "so what's the point? the point is it looks bad?"
after having drawn a lot i look at it and see so much creativity in the approach to the image
Picasso's not my cup of tea. I like his pottery though.
Is it possible for artists to get erectile dysfunction from looking at models for too long, asking for a friend, of course.
>>2908177
No, but its possible to become desensitized. Try nofap/noporn if it bothers you.
>>2908177
I doubt it, I masturbate twice everyday and when I wake up in the morning my cock hurts because it gets so freaking hard when I sleep. Needless to say, I look at a lot of porn.
I have erectile dysfunction and I have it bad, but it's probably because I lost my virginity to sailor moon lesbian hentai at a young age, am super circumcised and drink fluoridated globalist water.
I for one am anxiously awaiting the day death finally releases me from the grip of this 3D fag dimension so I can battle the mangas and leave my genuine concerns about getting laid, procreating and having a family behind.
>Draw a cartoon
>Throw out all of the fundamentals and only draw what looks nice
>It's absolutely wonderful and I can apply perspective when I need to
Is this the best approach to design?
Is it best to just to go with what looks good to you?
>>2914664
Example?
Here's my 2 cents.
If drawing is the fabrication of reality, then ultimately what matters is that the illusion is convincing.
So if it looks good, then that's all that matters
No, it's best to use shape construction, at least initially. Make sure you draw active or highly interesting gestures.
>>2914664
Are you that guy who draws porn of his high school crush?
Is that a bad habit?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tDfR-JWpc-4
Or its fine/healthy to draw like this? specially for beginners
Short answer: yes
You'll waste more time trying to fix errors if you try to do it this way, especially without a clear reference/sketch. Talking from experience (yet I make this mistake a lot). Make the sketch, then once you're set, add details.
You'll have to graduate from skeletons eventually.

what a recipe for inconsistency
>favorite process: Inking
>least favorite process: Blocking in colors
What about you ic?
>>2914236
>favorite process: designing the shapes/colour/light of an image composition
>least favorite process: rendering
>>2914236
>favorite process: taking a break
>least favorite process: drawing
>favorite process: starting off with a big brush and making a vague and loose sketch to refine as I go along
>least favorite process: making strict and accurate line art based on a construction and gesture sketch

Thank you!
how can i start getting bigger as an artist? i just got a commision, and he paid me 20 for this, im not good but im growing and i actually can do commisions for better prices but noone seems to care.
>>2916787
Do more commisions and post a lot more art
well, i am. its just that no one is interested, and does anyone reccomend social networking sites for art?
>>2916790
It's because you're shit.
so i made this animation on a surface book 4. this is the best tool i've ever used. i'm just getting started with making videos like this, any feedback on here is good :)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idJQNe-LD6c
>>2916272
>so i made this animation
You mean a slideshow/storyboard. I get the stick figure style is easy to do for videos, but it's just exactly that. Stick figures. It's bland and uninteresting to stare at. Some YouTubers out there can really pull off the stick figure stuff and make it work, but it has to have a fun kind of personality to it. Whereas yours seems to just exist for the sake of existing.
Try and do more detailed and interesting designs instead of stick figures. You have a surface pro, so it's not that hard to draw quickly with them anyways.
>>2916973
Thanks for your feedback man. I'll try more complex designs or more personality in the drawing for the second video.
Sometimes I think having a rival of some sort would push me further and help me enjoy studying and drawing more
>>2914353
I wish my brother was my rival. Unfortunately he doesn't talk to me.
Do you want to be my rival?
>>2914353
Everyone in the art world is your rival.
You are supposed to feel the need to catch up to and surpass other great artists.
If you don't feel this, then I don't know how you can get better.
How do I draw like I used to?
When I was a just a young laddy I drew for the sake of drawing. I was inspired to create things because of what someone else had created and I wanted to do that, So I did my best and had fun. Now my mind is clouded because of social media and the word that bs word I fucking hate. Fame. I want my pre internet brain BACK!!!!
Then draw for the sake of drawing.
>>2914128
can you stop with the seriously serious bad replies?
it's like your wrist weighs a thousand pounds and you just munch on Doritos all day responding to random threads while you smell your farts all day.
>>2914128
>just stop being bad and be good instead
What's the best size for a sketchbook and why is it 5.5 in x 8.5 in (14 x 21.6 cm)?
>>2913872
>not a 5 x 3.5
>not being able bring your book anywhere
ngmi
B4
A sizes are shit for drawing
>>2914242
>he can't bring a 5x8 book anywhere
What are you, 3 feet tall?
Hello /ic/
I'm new here and i would like to learn how to draw things like
>Girls in anime type of style.
>Landscapes like pic related
>Portraits
i know it's going to take a while but if anyone here could link me a guide or give me tips to start drawing the things i listed above it would be appreciated.
I'm sorry if this thread annoyed anybody.
Yeah, it's called the sticky. You can find it in the OP thread.
Give me some of your artist influences in return as payment. Your favorite artists or even favorite pieces.
>>2913358
I read the /ic/ guide and i would like to create original images not just simply copy another guy's work to see how good i can imitate his.
It's pointless.
>>2913367
You clearly haven't read then if that's what you take from it. Read it again and this time the whole thing.
Or you're pointless to help.
