your neuroplasticity is practically gone at that stage
not gonna make it

>tfw you want to learn to draw
>tfw you'll be 40 one day
>tfw when you'll regret not trying and instead worrying about being too late instead
>tfw you realize this and feel empowered to try
>tfw when you write on paper a contract where you explain to yourself why you're going to try hard as fuck to git gud
>>2910354
No, don't listen to this guy : it's harder as time goes by, but it's NEVER too late if you're motivated enough!
So stop wanting, start doing!!!
Anyone use this?
>>2907802
Why would you use this for fapping
>>2907802
i've used it for a few jobs. much easier than posing yourself in front of the camera, and the free version does everything you'll ever need.
I use it for drawing lewd stuff, I find it super fucking useful
I've seen other examples of this type of writting, does anyone know what its called?

so /ic/ is it true? have we been gimping ourselves this whole time?
can we only MAKE IT in silence?
D:
When I study something, I do it in silence, but when I doodle or work on things like lineart, flat colors I put on music.
I feel it helps me sometimes, I get rush of emotions I can put in my drawings.
Classic music though, never. Classic music always distracts me.
The first example he gives is from an animator and animation is impossible with music, I can agree with that. There's just too much tought involved
But when you're working on an idea you've alrready established I don't think there's anything wrong with putting music, it helps getting through the "boring" or more tedious parts and makes it seem like time goes by quicker. It's more enjoyable.
When you're trying to study something new or are struggling with a piece, music will only distract you, though.
>no artbook thread on the catalog
>the only one in the archive doesn't even have the template

Do you believe artists should take their time with their artwork to enjoy it? How long are people generally willing to wait for a commission? What's more important, quality or quantity? I'm thinking of going into commissions soon. Pic unrelated, just a favorite painting of mine.
>>2923976
>Do you believe artists should take their time with their artwork to enjoy it?
Personal artwork? Yes. Professional? Not unless the deadline is very relaxed.
>What's more important, quality or quantity?
Depends on the type of work you are doing. Consistency is important though.
How much would one earn making free tutorials on youtube and opening a patreon just for supporting the channel? like if proko made a patreon and released all the premium content on youtube?
none because they're free dumbass
is he wearing geobaskets?
>>2924107
this isn't /fa/
we don't talk about rick here
I think this piece is analogous to human history. look how some conflicting regions adapt to each other to make both work out.
I actually like it
as cancerous as reddit is this is pretty nice
it's like a less corporate version of milliondollarhomepage.com
what is this
We did it /ic/, we broke him. This is what he has become.
His jokes were always retarded cringefests, though
And by jokes I mean videos

Stop calling drawings you make before you "get serious" warmups.
You aren't lifting weights, shut the fuck up.

Remember back when anime background art weren't all Kinkade tier-trash and photoshop filters?
>>2921593
Don't worry, anon.
Studio Pablo is saving anime
>>2921593
>complains about photoshop filters
>posts a Makoto Shinkai background as example of "proper" background art
uhh.... Makoto Shinkai have always used photo plates for 90% of their backgrounds since their very first movie and most of them look great.
>>2921714
Except they look like shit.
Backgrounds looking like fucking instagram 'inspirational' photos isn't a good thing. It's corny garbage fit for tasteless normalfags frolicking in unrestrained sentimentality and without any fucking sense of subtlety.
Last thread: >>2914022
This thread is meant for artists who might want to try to make anime works in-between their studies. It is strongly recommended that you use this thread in conjunction with learning the elements and fundamentals of art. You can also discuss the visual elements of various professional artists as well if you keep it relatively articulate and civil.
Submit your drawings, receive feedback or critique others! Share your knowledge and remember to thank those who've critiqued or red-lined your drawings. Most importantly, have fun!

Have any suggestions on helpful resource links? Leave a comment anytime ITT and I will look into it.
Been trying to get that 80's anime aesthetic down.
Where is redjuice guy?

Reminds me of NoseBro but better.
ITT: The best and the worst advice you have heard and heeded.
Best Advice I took
> Be a tight ass when it comes to placing lines.
> Move from the arm, not the wrist.
> Use live models and photos as references.
These get repeated a lot, but if you are not doing this already, just do it and just see the difference in your work!
Worst Advice I heard
> The Manga style is almost entirely used for androgynous male characters, female characters and children.
From ImagineFX How To Draw and Paint Manga. I leave you to figure out if or how it's wrong.
Worst Advice that I actually took and wasted my time on
> Doing the kind of exercises in Drawing on the right side of the brain.
Her concept of turning on the "right side" is actually good advice (gotta quit that symbol drawing), but I can't figure out why the exercises didn't help me improve at all. I actually almost gave up drawing because of that.

I'm scared that Keys to Drawing will do this to me. It seems way to "beginner" and I don't now if I should skip pages or just not even read it
>>2901479
Keys to drawing is not strict at all in its methods.
I felt it had a kind of a "Bob Ross effect" on me where I felt it's okay to be loose and just draw and not worry about perfection.
>>2901494
Did it help you?
I made this fanart for a youtuber I follow, it's his Dark Souls main character.
It's my first drawing i'm kinda satisfied with.
What do you think?
>>2923507
LOL
>>2923507
So when are you gonna post APRIL FOOLS! and a godlike piece of art?
If you're for real though it's bad, but hey gotta start somewhere
>>2923507
It's pretty good for a beginner.
Keep it up.
