Pretty shit. The idea behind the initial outline is fine, and sketching the shapes like that can be fine for depth overlapping etc, but that sketch/lineart is garbage anatomically and unsatisfying as shapes. There should be sharper lines going against bouncy lines, helps bring out shapes in directions better than just roundness everywhere. I had a decent tutorial for doing satisfactory muscles (tutorial was done by some kemono artist) but I can't find it.

Worst part is that people are following this shit.

Just pick the most expensive stuff imaginable and make sure it is reusable, you can fill it with ink, change nibs, whatever. Practically everything that is made nowadays and isn't cheap shit is 5/5 and honestly, you won't feel if it is truly good for you or not if you won't have it physically in hand and try it on.

He's useful for learning how to set up a landscape no matter which medium you use, but almost all of his specific techniques only work with oil paint (and somewhat with acrylic).
Digitally, there's no fast way I've found to imitate the effects he gets when painting with the knife or when he loads several colors onto the brush at once, etc.
That said, I teach some of those "Paint Night" things women love to go to and I've adapted many of the things he does to work with acrylic, but you gotta work fast.

Just do what you like and enjoy it, fuck. If the problem is not being used to it then keep using it till you do. If not, just use traditional tools, no one gives a fuck as long as you're doing it and improving.

Like the other anon said, just tape some paper to your tablet.

And if you don't like tablets, stop giving a shit about what others think and just do what works for you. That said, if you plan on becoming a professional, digital is going to be a huge asset for being able to produce stuff relatively quickly and cheaply. Especially for stuff like concept art. If your goals aren't in that direction, why do you care if somebody with their head up their ass looks down their nose at you for sticking to traditional?

Lots of artists start a piece traditionally and then polish digitally, which is another option.
