thanks
I like your "Crazy" Style, only i think thet the forehead it's 2 luminous/pale
But in general i like it, you are good in this
Just draw spheres. Draw spheres attached to spheres, draw opaque spheres, draw slightly transparent spheres.
If you can't draw an accurate looking sphere, then you shouldn't be trying to draw figures.

Cubes are EZmode.
>hey everybody! this is volen, in pursuit of art
will he ever make it?
>>2959055
He quit is job supposedly to spend more time on art. He will make it and meanwhile (you) will still be on /ic/ making shit threads.
>>2959058

He's a real qt I like his advice videos.
Plus it does look like he's improving a lot.
Needed a new thread

Hello everyone, I have posted my shirts on here before, but this is my first tapestry. Very proud of it!
>>2961503
I see a fish in there
>>2961536
Ha! Yes, I've been told fish, turtles, and snakes in this one.
>>2961503
I really like your stuff.

these "draw this in 2 seconds!" threads are useless.
Either give people more time or don't make them
Hey guys I've been planning on buying a phicen male and phicen female to get better poses, and a better grasp on the movement of the human body. I was wondering if it was better to use this than a plain wood model. I don't have many photos of poses or people to act them out for me.
I know it isn't going to react the exact same way a human body does but it's close.
i was wondering if anyone has used them or have recommendations.
>>2961418
>to get better poses, and a better grasp on the movement of the human body
Just show us your porn blog already anon.
>>2961418
I wish someone would make posing software with a variety of high quality models that emulate everything down to muscle contractions, that could be posed by using a real life figure.
>>2961437
I would love that. I can't picture certain poses without thinking. I don't think the muscles work that way. Or is this even comfortable?
I'm tired of drawing the same thing every time doing something different gets a little too complicated and frustrating.
Hey, commenting because I'm trying to get an honest opinion on my work. Here's an example but you can check my work out here if you need to see more. Feel like my work doesn't capture people'e attention enough. Thank you.

i love pantyhose. How to draw pantyhose?
I find it enjoyable to draw using references, basically copying down a piece of art. I don't trace the art at all, but I study the linework and attempt to recreate it. An example of this would be pic related. Is this a bad habit or a good way of practicing and studying the use of different art-styles?
And this is my recreation...
Studying the linework is the to git gud. You're gonna make it. Keep at it.
>>2960764
thanks, thats encouraging.
I'm just concerned that i'm giving myself too much of a crutch if i'm directly copying other's work.
No shit posting, I want to have an intelligent discussion as to which Master you find to be technically better.
>>2959863
Leyendecker, I wanna be able to draw 2D cuties like Leyendecker did.
>>2959863
> technically better
Loomis is technically a better at teaching commercial illustration. Da Vince is the better artist.
This is a nonsensical comparison, as they both did completely diffent stuff. Knowing your fundamentals doesn't make you a great artist, it gives you the right tools to express your ideas.

oh god MY DIIIIIIICCKKKKKKK
Anything good about this? What's bad?
Just trying to make an a portrait for use as my avatar.
>>2961024
In future, post in the beginner thread. You'll get proper critiques there.
Your lines aren't awful, so that's a start. The chin looks fucking weird though, maybe look up some better guides on how to draw on that angle, i'm not sure how else to help.
>>2961038
Apologies, thank you for letting me know!
The chin? Alright, I'll have to look that up. Thanks
>>2961024
Whats wrong with her chin?
Try arching her chin lower
Try Posting in a beginner tread newfag there specificly for critique.
Hey guys, is anyone able to give me some critique? I'm trying to get better at my digital rendering techniques
>>2960800
stop tracing.
>>2960835
Thanks for the compliment I guess?
>>2960841
everything else (shoulders, hair, neck to shoulders) is horribly out of proportion, yet the facial features don't suit, whilst yet the brush marks and economy are total trash.
the rendering on the hair and lack thereof on the bust are also a dead give away. (in comparison to the face.
you magically know where light should fall on the features of the face but dont know the first thing about rendering hair (the easy part)
we have been here a long time, and have tried all the tricks in the book.
go to level up if you want normie shit like this to pass.

>>2959443
Kamogamo is pretty amazing.
>Yeah. In order to draw bodies accurately, the most important thing is to be able to draw a cube.
>box and construction meme
>Recently, there have been more and more Chinese and Korean creators entering the Japanese market.
It's gonna be hard for us now.
>I make sure that it makes people want to touch them instinctively. I try to make them feel physically close to the viewer despite being in 2D. I want to convey the scents, the sensation, and the atmosphere, and not just draw a drawing. That's why I take note of the five senses when drawing.
He's a pretty cool guy too.
Inspirational stuff from this one, I'll check out the other one next.
>>2959461
yep, when I first saw Kamogamo's illustrations, I dismissed them as basic anime shit, but looking more closely it really is important to know underlying anatomy in order to stylise consistently and well.
mostly impressed he took those anatomy studies so quickly; I've avoided getting technical with skeletons, muscles for ages, but this gives me motivation..
Thanks for this thread. I hardly pay attention to Pixiv, but after realizing how difficult it is to track down and view artists on Twitter, I'm starting to get into using it as my main art stalking site. Didn't even know they had translated interviews with artists, too.
Hey /ic/, I've been digital painting landscapes mostly and just recently started with faces. Here is my 3rd (?) attempt of a girl I took a picture of on the bus. I appreciate any comments or criticisms
>>2959066
this is shit
*unbuckles belt*
>>2959066
Make entire bodies first not faces, from the general to the particular, just as you do with landscapes
I just got back into drawing again. At the moment all I want to do is abstract art, though. Can we still be friends, /ic/?
I promise I will get back to figurative drawing in the near future! ;_;
This ink on dirty paper. It takes days to complete.
>>2958893
But anon, those generic anime girls won't draw themselves!
Also, sketches.
