Other thread is dying. How do I fix mu god awful construction and perspective?
Have never taken a serious art class. Want to get back into drawing since it'll help my major (architecture).
op here, dumping what I have.
this is one I'm more proud of, but I do acknowledge that the construction is weak compared to the standards of this board. i like to focus on small details and rendering. probably took me about 1.5-2 hours.
>>2969251
i did this one quickly in about 30 minutes (was bored in class). i'm not particularly proud of this one because even the finer details are executed poorly. i cut a lot of corners here.
>>2969252
did this one a couple years back. probably about 1-1.5 hours to do but i don't like it at all.
My friend is looking for constructive criticism, and I don't really know what to say
Can you guys help me out?

Pretty good not going to lie family.
A few more years doing what they're doing and they'll be pro in no time.
It's not that bad but also kind of shit, what kind of goal is she aiming for in art if so?
>>2966949
>I draw anime and I'm completely superior to him
>He still has more comments and watchers than me
Why ?!
Is because I never reply with a boring "thanks for the fav" to everyone ?
Is there any book or video or website or person that can teach me how to draw things that aren't parallel to the horizon line correctly in perspective?
Like things that are falling/ or people in weird poses.

How do you hold your stylus pen? from the middle like you would on pencil and paper? does your hand touch the tablet?
>>2968720
depends on the work i do. But if im not doing the finest linedrawing, i prefer to hold it as loose as possible without loosing the grip to be able to use the pressure, and use keyboard instead of buttons on the pen.
realized it's not in my server list anymore, did it die or did it go through a purge and i get kicked?

If you are a /beg/inner in art, please use this thread to post pieces for critique or ask for advice. We should not have to make new threads or post in the drawthread with our fundamental exercises.
Feel free to post even the smallest exercise you have done to show you are still trying, do not give up, make someone proud.
RESIZE YOUR IMAGES TO ~1000 PIXELS:
#1)
>screenshot the image and post that instead (I recommend ShareX)
#2)
>change camera capture settings to something smaller
#3)
>send to computer and resize in MSPaint

FAQ:
Something's broken, what do I do?
>The original developer of the site has taken a leave for quite a while, originally due to medical reasons. Progress on the site is almost non-existant at this point. You can try contacting him at @LavaFlake or emailing him at [email protected].
What do we draw?
>Whatever you want. At this point there's no required topic so draw your heart out. Make sure you submit at least a half hour of work or you may get a low effort warning.
What's a low effort warning?
>The goal is to get people to draw every day by turning it into a competition. The low effort warning system is to prevent people from posting last minute, quick sketches when they're feeling lazy. If you receive a warning and it happens again within a month you'll be eliminated.
>This rule has been the cause of a lot of concern amongst newer artists so let me reiterate: this system is to police low effort content and has nothing to do with the quality of the work. New artists are more than welcome.
What happens if I'm eliminated?
>Your streak will go back to 0 and you will have to start again. No other penalties.
How can there be a new Last Artist Standing challenge every week?
>There is no week system anymore, instead new users are given "streaks" based on the number of consecutive days you can submit without getting eliminated. (token losses do not reset your streak)
Will I have an advantage if I join later in the week?
>The winner of a Last Artist Standing will be the artist with the longest streak. If you join on day 1 and last until day 85 then you'll have a streak of 85. If there's only one person left in the challenge when you're eliminated but they joined on Day 7 then they'll need to continue on for another week. If they're eliminated before then, you win.
there. kick rocks.

Will digital art ever be as respected as its traditional counterpart?
I think the problem is uniqueness. There's only one Mona Lisa, while the most amazing digital painting there is still is a bunch of bits in a harddrive. Of course, you could print it and destroy the original, but how safe is that?
How do you collect digital art? How do you curate digital art (and does that even make sense)?
>>2964395
Digital art is as respected as traditional. Literally digital age.
Who would care about you do with your own paper?
How does anyone collect art? In their own way. There's many ways to store digital art.
The problem is you're trying to put digital art within the context of the traditional framework for art and it's curation, it breaks down.
Digital art can be seen as a democratisation of art in many ways, there is no need to curate it in the traditional manner.
>>2964395
>Will digital art ever be as respected as its traditional counterpart?
Nope
How's this for a quick sketch without references? I usually do cartoon stuff, this is my first time drawing a full human figure. Do I have potential, or should I stick with cartoons?

Also I just realized how fucked the perspective with her nipples is, lol
It's really bothering me now, does this nipple placement look any better guys?
>>2968784
left nipple was placed right
right nipple needs to be more to the left
