Lets have a thread about hands.
>Can you draw hands? If so, draw one right now and post it.
>If you can't draw hands, have you been trying to get better? How often, what's your progress?
>How long do you think it would take a person to learn how to /draw/ a hand? A few days? A week?
>How long did it take you to learn?

I posted the wrong picture.
First of all, I know I'm not the greatest artist out there. I'm just a guy who loves speculative fiction with everything he has and I like to draw. It's my dream to publish some small press comics. I'm willing to pay for a small run to give to my friends, family, family, and hit up some small press cons.
I've got story for days. Is my art good/interesting enough to tell a story/ keep someone interested in a book. Have you any advice about any of this?
>>2975408
Before I answer, some questions:
1) How much do you know about making comics?
2) How often do you read comics?
3) How much time do you have to dedicate to it?
4) Are you able to draw something repetitively and consistancy?
5) Have you ever drawn or planned out a comic?
Imo, art < story when it comes to comics. Your art is passable for a comic, but it won't be the most refined or dynamic, which will turn some people off immediately. I recommend you research into it further before jumping in, because judging by what you have here, you don't really understand how they work well enough to do them.
Got any pages with something paneled out?

Yeah, I bought myself a drink after doing some good work.
I sold a guy a laptop yesterday because that's my job.
I sold some pipes yesterday because that's my job.
I just found this thing Google has made and figure it would be great to share here
Sadly I cannot find a way to save images from it so screenshot and then reverse image search is the best method I have
It's still an amazing source of organized art

Depends, how long have you been drawing?
Post finished work.
Shrink your pics.

A lot of chicken scratching, but decent

Don't ask, just do it.
The steps you're taking are the ones that will help you make it.
Keep on working and improving.

I will take it when I get paid to take it, and then proceed to put it in the dumpster and buy myself a little something.

If you are a /beg/inner in art, please use this thread to post pieces for critique or ask for advice. We should not have to make new threads or post in the drawthread with our fundamental exercises.
Feel free to post even the smallest exercise you have done to show you are still trying, do not give up, make someone proud.
RESIZE YOUR IMAGES TO ~1000 PIXELS:
#1)
>screenshot the image and post that instead (I recommend ShareX)
#2)
>change camera capture settings to something smaller
#3)
>send to computer and resize in MSPaint

TRY TO BE MORE ACTIVE AND GIVE PEOPLE SOME FEEDBACK - many studies are left unreplied, which is a bit sad and can be quite demotivating for the people that try their best to improve, but are left directionless.
OLD THREAD: >>2972282
Post supplies and sketchbooks/pads you carry with you on the daily or very frequently. Fuck off with the gun and knife talk, I just want to hear about the drawing materials.

How are you gonna feel when Jamal and Tyrone mug you for your meager possessions?
>>2974116
i carry around a galaxy note 4 for doing sketches on and my work iPhone that i have that ecroche app on. I like to open that up and spin the model around and just try to get more of the figure into my visual memory. Dunno if it works but sometimes I feel like I can recall the particular way a muscle is shaped from there and I think it helped. I used to carry around a sketchbook but now winter is over so I dont have anywhere to put it since I don't wear my coat.

>you fell for the "you don't need to go to art school" meme
why, do you feel like you would draw better if you went? LOL
>you didnt fall for the "you need to go to art school" meme
The problem is that successful artists think they didn't need art school, since they did a lot of research/ practice om their own and those who made it without artschool are really independent, industrious personalities that are not only talented, but have an amazing work ethic.
For the average person art school is going to help them in a lot of regards, depending on the school, of course.
I always see doujinshi books for sale on ebay and being sold at komiket. How are they produced?
>>2973852
They use their version of Kinko's.
Or that's what Genshiken tells me.
