Does anyone have any good references for learning how to draw legs and various parts of the female body?

I'd prefer fun to draw angles that really do teach a lot.

You have to apply yourself

You need to think in a different way

Don't think "I wanna do this, this is a cool idea, etc"
Think "This is a good idea, I'll do this right now (or think of a time when to do it, the point is you have to take that next step and be proactive about your dreams)

It's the hardest thing to do because the truth is we all enjoy laying back and just imagining doing things rather than doing them and the saddest part is we all feel bad about that.
You gotta break away from all this, get your life in order and make the first step to doing the right things

TL;DR just do it, there are no secrets and there are no barricades that you yourself have not put up

What is with normies & loving this horrendous artstyle in the shitty Transformers movies? Is there some artistic merit to this that I'm missing? It's just a bunch of random, overdetailed pieces.

Its an evolution of model bashing, very lazy industry practice.

Why does he have 2 chins?
>>
>>2979909
Has anyone ever claimed to love the artstyle? Dont they just watch the movies for the lulz.

DESU you can get away with alot with such a normie movie, so you cant really hate the artists for just throwing a bunch of dimensions into the face instead of thinking which places to keep simple for a clear read. 95% of people will go out from the cinema and hardly remember how they looked anyway.

Is this shit legit?
Cause it looks legit, but it sure as fuck doesn't feel legit.

Wacom has something similar iirc. It did what it says, but it wasn't exact enough for some artists to do finished work. Some lines would be half a mm off and therefor not connecting, etc. People therefor liked it more for sketches that they could finish digitally.
I don't know about this product, however.

Hey, all the people out there who do commission work. What do you do when/if a client is constantly asking for changes or wanting you to do things outside of your personal style?
I'm currently working on a few pieces for someone, and I don't necessarily ((need)) the money, how much should I bend before offering to direct them to a friend of mine that'll probably be more loose and will have an easier time giving them what they're looking for?
6 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
I have on my comission information that I'll do 2 minor revisions free of charge but the rest will cost extra. I get payment upfront so it's not a big deal if they don't know how to read.
>>
>>2978358
I stopped doing traditional commissions for this purpose.
Step one: charge them hourly. If they want something done different, they pay for it.

What I do now, to avoid that hassle is I just offer my services for free. Accept as many requests till I'm overwhelmed.
If they like the finished piece, they can pay for it, I say something like "I always accept gratuity" (and many times if they don't care for it, they'll still show their friends or family and some way or another money comes back in).
This way I am able to keep working and still maintain artistic freedom.
>>
when you finish a sketch, show it to them and ask if there's anything they'd like changed. If they want a major revision after that point, then tell em tough luck. If you're only doing sketch commissions, then they're not paying you enough to demand major changes anyway

And if they want you to draw something you aren't comfortable with, then you have every right to refuse. In my experience most people are very understanding in this regard.

Pretty much your best bet to become a storyboard artist is through the Calarts nepotism pipeline, however that comes with a hefty price tag of no less than $45,000 a year without a scholarship.

If you want the practical skills of a storyboard artist and a good chance at securing a scholarship at a place like Calarts as a consequence then in the meantime I'd recommend subscribing to the AMB animation channel on youtube or through his website (ambanimation.com) and maybe looking up other similar youtubers from the animation thread for an incredibly cheap education that's easily the equal of what you'd get at a place like Calarts (where they've apparently forgotten what form is over the course of the past decade or so).

Just learn to draw cartoons on your own, they just teach figure drawing garbage that is nearly useless for animation. You won't learn how to draw cartoons in school.
