Hey, does anyone have a full copy or a torrent link for Simon Lee's "Sculpture Techniques - How to Sculpt Dynamic Characters " on StanWinston's School? Here's the link to the youtube preview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yfi4d8NGSZs
I'm getting into sculpting, and I love his work. The price is just too much.
On the topic of sculpture, does anyone in here sculpt? Share your work
Ayy bumping, here's some of my stuff

is it true that ISFPs are most fit to be an artist? then which one is the worst?
what is your personalities type /ic/ and how does it affect your path to getting gud?
My personality type is whatever it says that day because the Myers-Briggs is literally not based in any science whatsoever
>>2974628
lol true, the reason why anyone likes this is because people love to be a part of something larger than themselves, it's just human nature. ENTJ tho

Might aswell think that your astrological sign affect your progress
I'm currently studying computer science, I'm planning to be a game dev and I wanna get good enough in art to be able to do 3d assets, concept art and ilustration all by myself.
I am planning to practice every single moment I can in order to improve. Please critique and tell me where should I focus (currently I'm doing the Draw a Box tutorials on reddit)
Current level: http://kneku.deviantart.com/gallery/

Fuck off to the beginner thread.
>>2983474
/beg/, read the sticky, don't make own thread, etc.
Also your plan sounds weird, you want CS to do gamedev and you also want to do 3rd, illustration and concept art, are you sure you know how a game is made?
>>2983503
wasn't Touhou,Spelunky,Cave Story,Axiom Verge,Papers Please, Stardew Valley all made by one single dev?, hell I'm not even planning to learn how to composs music so it should be "easier" to make it
1 hours of doing things that are out of my comfort zone.
what do you mean by practice? ive never felt the need to practice, i just draw/paint/sculpt. it sounds very boring to see that as practice
>>2981312
Drawing is probably one of the most easily accessible thing for me to do, so I just do it on the bus or when ever I have time.
I have a small notebook thing which is essentially just A4 pages cut in quarters in a stack.
Killing time, want to fill in the rest of this page using suggestions. What did this astronaut find in the deep recesses of space, /ic/?
Also general thread for sharing ink sketches because I love them.
Pocket pussies
A giant octopus

Animation must seriously be the easiest job in the entire industry. You don't even have to be good at it, you'll be hired anyway.
Can't fucking count how many video games I've played with absolute garabge-tier animation. None of these idiots know how facial bones work and yet they still get jobs at AAA companies.
Amazing. Absolutely amazing.
Seems like someone failed at being hired at the "easiest job of the entire industry", apparently.
But yeah, keep being frustrated.

So?

t. animator butthurt at not being able to handle the truth
your job, by far, has the lowest skill requirement of any art-related profession
Where can i learn more about "medieval art"?
you're mom
>>2979836
have you tried googling "medieval art"? amazing, I know.

Here's a good place to start:

Walter Crane's On the Decorative Illustration of Books Old and New covers the history of illuminated manuscripts and missals in satisfactory detail. I would also recommend looking at the art from important books at the time such as the Nuremberg Chronicle, Book of Hours, etc. Dover publications is bound to have some cheap reference books, as well as digging around on archive.org for books on ornament, architecture, etc. from the 19th century, when academic interest in the art styles of the middle ages started. Also the Bibliodyssey blog has a lot of posts about illuminated manuscripts.

I can see this thread is off to a great start. Google images is an awful resource for finding anything art related (pinterest and tumblr are much better for finding what you're looking for). OP was also asking for specific resources.
Show me your personal logo. I'm trying to decide on one myself.
I guess you can link your folio at the same time if you like.

Why are fat people so fat?
I don't remember seeing fat all over the human body in my anatomical studies.
I only remember finding fat in the face and the ass.
I don't know how I can possibly create an accurate human being if i'm not aware of fat deposits.
What gives?
>>2983187
Never mind. I suppose this is just a lesson to smooth out the muscles.
>>2983187
cheeks, tits, biceps, hands, love handles, ass, thighs, stomach, fingers and neck are usually what look "fat" on fat people. wrists, fore arms, calves, nose, ears, upper and back of the head, back, ankles and wrists tend to be normal looking for the most part. just look closely at fat people, observe the gelatinous, perceive the jelly rolls, quantify the cottage cheese and you will see where the fat usually gets deposited on the body. its different for different body types though, some fat people only get fat biceps a beer belly and man titties (i call that redneck fat). others have turkey necks, squirrel cheeks, finger botulism, bulbous brail thighs, indented buttocks rolls, and the like. it really depends on why the person is fat!
