Do you sometimes draw something just for fun on a random piece of paper or on a sketchbook only to realize it's better than 80% of your work.
I had this when I was younger. I used to fill entire copybooks in class with drawings that some how were better than my drawings when Im at home and actually trying to draw better.
I dont get it as much now but it still happens. What do you think is the reason to this? And how do you replicate it?

The pressure to succeed has different effects on people.
I'm like you; the more relaxed/less pressure, the better I perform in general. Knowing this explicitly, use it to your advantage.
I do this:
> get piece of paper
> set timer for 30 minutes
> draw for 30
> toss paper at end of thirty, no exceptions
If I really like one of the ideas, I'll copy a slightly cleaner version into my sketchbook.
How and when did you start?

what about getting a 2nd day job to afford premium courses and art supplies? because you're still with shit tier skill
>>3125342
The courses and supply won't get you good, the energy, time and focus will.
Does anyone know who's responsible for these? saved them a few years back and want to see more
Sup lads, any tips on dealing with after work physical exhaustion? It's often very hard for me to put in a solid couple drawing hours after I get home and eat dinner. I'm yawning and my brain feels like applesauce. The motivation was there but just sheer physical exhaustion was just too much tonight. Really frustrating.
Preferably non caffeine options. I'm not a caffeine junky (sometimes just 1 cup of coffee in the morning) and not looking to caffeinate at like 7:30, 8:00pm when I get home.
Would a really cold shower work?
I'm sorry bro, but having dealt with this from experience; you'll have to use your days off or find a new job.
>>3125287
To be honest my hours are pretty good. I work 1-6 every day and this is a "full time" position. The problem is my often long commutes tack on another 1-2 hours depending on the day.
I usually get a hour or two of drawing in before work but I'd like to draw more when I get home. I have the time when I get home and I feel like it's wasted time more often than not. Usually pretty sleepy.

maybe bring a book onto the train and sketch shit out? i do that and am able to pump out about 4 hours a day between train rides, home, and lunch breaks.
Are there any artists here that started browsing /ic/ when they were /beg/ tier and got to a pretty decent level (even by /ic/ standards)?
You are like little babby
>>3125886
watch this
>>3125153
i did, back in like 2010/2011, but i also left pretty shortly afterwards an got gooder elsewhere. i tend to return during slumps in work to try and help people before i get too annoyed by the typical 4chan atmosphere cause a friend's really good art advice when i was first starting out really helped me realize what i like about art and how to get there
Could anyone help with the sword hand (& anything else)?
Trying to do a League of Angels Applibot type thing.
>>3125116
make it bigger
>>3125120
How about angle & height? I can't seem to get the arm right.
>>3125132
forget the angle and height, just make it more bigger.
So I wanna start making cartoons in a "limited animation" format. Things like Scooby Doo, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, and Dr. Tran. What are things to consider when building a character?
>>3125094
there is nothing to consider ,that animation format is basically anime without the fast cuts and action ,you have the possibility to make your characters as complicated and or realistic as posible because of the limited animation if that what you want
my only advace is to avoid to make them look bland as well as the background
This shit Is fucking retarded. It's worth so much but It looks like It was made by a 5-year-old.
Di Revo - 30 Million Euros
This one Is worth fifty million.. Jesus this guy has no talent.
>>3125027
>Aurtois De Latoi
i think its worth more.
>>3125027
Looks like it was made on paint... Probably was indeed made in paint
"The highest form of art pertains to the spiritual."
-Michaelangelo
Animefags will never recover, this is why art like his work in the Sistine chapel are immortalized whereas anime is just cheap junk art forgotten in a few years. Why are you still wasting your life on trying to draw anime?
go back to Africa. black ass
Because Michelangelo will never draw us furry futa porn that will save many people. His works offers nothing spiritual.
If Michaelangelo were alive he would draw anime.
My father has been a professional painter for over 40 years. I want to share his work with you guys-make sure to check out some of his work in his website becrisarmando.ga
You may ask any questions about him
he needs loomis
What was his education and how much does he make off of his paintings?
>>3124936
I like how loomisposters are basically jehovah's witnesses at this point.
Australian themed art?
>>3124922
did you make this thread just to see how fast this would get posted?
>>3124927
Who?
What if /ic/ had an additional verification where you're forced to submit a drawing with the post?
It will quickly oust the shitposters, even if they try to hide behind "l-lel look how little I'm trying xdd" doodles.
>>3124886
Are you retarded? You could use anyone's drawing? unless you'd had to draw directly on an additional which would be a hassle because making a good sketch takes time.
>>3124886
No you sensitive cunt, this is how you create dead threads.
learn how to differentiate trolling and actual criticism
>>3124886
/ic/ is the only place where I wish posters weren't anonymous.
>tfw you make a living doing concept art for a Japanese game company drawing cute girls in cool fantasy outfits while working from home where you can decide your own working hours and you earn enough to keep a lot of freetime where you don't work to draw your personal art or do whatever you want

What music of other background material do you listen to while working? I find that sometimes listening to dark ambient or creepy pastas gets to focused and productive.
Does anyone else hide all threads that have anime pic in OP? I don't bother reading, I just hide it.
>>3124599
There is really no need for you to respond then.
>>3124602
I just wanted you to know that I will never help anyone that posts anime pics, never fucking ever and I had some occasions where I had the answer that nobody else had. I just want you to know that you are disease that has to be ignored until it dies by itself. Fuck off.
