Seconding this
/ic/, I'm having trouble drawing from imagination. What's your take on this?
HELP!
So ill vectorize a hand drawn image to be colored digitally, and the vector will be perfect (more clean than even the hand drawing itself was) But the minute i export it it gets all fuzzy and stretched
wtf do I do senpai?
Are you looking at the image in Windows Photos? Because that fucks all sorts of shit up.
>>2991943
What filetype are you exporting it as?
I have a vague memory of someone saying to export as pdf first then your preferred filetype sometimes works better? I'm not positive though.
If you tell me what you're trying to export it has i can try to fiddle with it and figure it out though.
>>2992126
lol LOOK at it im using inkscape and gimp it gets super stretched in gimp though and it gets worse when I export it from there :l
>post a WIP

It's not really that bad. But I think that people won't do this because it seems like you're just asking for art of your oc to be made for free
>>2984191
hold the pencil with your urethra and draw with your erect penis.
Anything else is plebian shit and you'll never make it.
Did guweiz just rip off ovopack?
>>2981184
looks like it, and putting a generic girl face in there? guy is a genius
>>2981184
Maybe reffed? He obviously didn't "rip off" anyone here though
An aside question, what is the logic behind the glowy bits on the ear/eyes? I understand it attracts attention, but is there a name for it or anything?
Tell me, anons, your thoughts on her? Is she really that good or is she just riding on wave of popular characters?
>>2980155
Fuck off faggot these threads are not reportable as they offer analysis on the current state of the market in demand and trending genres.
She IS mostly just riding on a wave of popular characters, but she's a good artist and she's good at it so good for her.
>inb4 someone nit-picks this piece by talking about how the eyes might be a little too far apart or some shit
While we're bitching about her faults and expressing our jealousy of her unprecedented financial success (for an artist) she's drawing her clit off pumping out more content.
>>2980155
She's successful. Good for her.
What art style is this?
surreal hipsterism?
I'm not bashing in fact i'm doing research to make some surreal hipsterism of my own but I can't FIND SHIT in this 'genre'

My Wacom Intuos Pro draws when I try to erase with the eraser end. What the fuck is this shit and why has it happened on several different PCs and multiple drawing applications over a 2 year period?
It's not the only issue either---often when I start drawing a line it just seizes, until I lift the tip of the pen, at which point I just get a straight line between the point where it froze and the point where I lifted the pen. Has happened both with Photoshop and Krita.
Is this some kind of elephant in the room with digital drawing? Why is it so unreliable? Am I just incredibly unlucky? Does Wacom just have shit drivers? Is this a standard user experience with digital drawing? What's going on here?
Do I need to buy a Huion? HELP
>>2992918
>My Wacom Intuos Pro draws when I try to erase with the eraser end.
The behavior of the pen is controlled by the control panel, have you opened it, and seen what behavior is assigned to the eraser?
>when I start drawing a line it just seizes, until I lift the tip of the pen, at which point I just get a straight line between the point where it froze and the point where I lifted the pen.
The only time I've seen this happen was on a computer that was running Photoshop, and was overheating. The stall is from the buffer timing out.
What is your system, what app are you using, how much ram do you have, how old/full is the HD the apps are on? What system version, and what drivers?
Millions of people use Intuos pads every day just fine. The problem is your system, and how it's set up, and if it can handle what you're doing.

You probably fucked your pen/tablet or got a defective unit. I own an intuos5 since it was released and it was left in the rain, sister smashed it on the floor and it's still working like on day one.

OS: Win 10 Pro (fresh install, no shitware installed)
CPU: Ryzen 7 1800x
RAM: 32 GB (like 5 GB used)
GPU: Nvidia GTX 660
Wacom driver: 6.3.21-10 (latest?)
Drawing application installed on SSD with >25% unused
As you can see, eraser function is enabled.
The eraser issue is intermittent and last struck half an hour ago in the middle of drafting in Krita. Now it won't go away, despite a reboot.
Currently using latest Krita at stock settings, and latest Wacom drivers. I like to call myself non-retarded with computers and I take care of my Winows installations in general. Haven't fucked around with any touch settings, etc. Wacom settings are also pretty much stock.
Could it be that my unit is simply defective? Wonder if the warranty covers it. Shit
I've come to realize I suck at two things - draftsmanship, and drawing form.
I've spent months practicing anatomy, rendering, coloring, all the while without realizing that my fundamental-fundamentals were utterly fucked.
Do you guys have any good resources to recommend for developing these? Exercises, books, video lectures, all are good.
>>2993162
How could you practice anatomy and rendering without form knowledge? I'd like to see your studies.
>>2993176
Mostly redrawing my lines a lot to get them as right as possible to pixel precision, rather than having a "general" understanding of what to do (good enough to steer a sketch in the right way while keeping it loose).
Have a sketch as of 10 minutes ago (which is neither rendering or anatomy)
>>2993162
Drawabox, lots of it. Then Scott Robertson.
See you in 4 months.
Has anyone got a download link for Murata's Hetappi Manga Kenkyuujo R?
I can't fucking find it and I feel it would be a real goldmine
Just buy it from Amazon.jp you cheap nigger
do someone knows how is this art style called or how can i find mor art similar to this
>>2992898
Retard style? Just hit your self in the head a few times and you'll be all set.
like this also
>>2992898
it's called the lazy illustration student style. Google editorial illustration.
Only threads debating sakimichan, discussing sexy feet, and porn artist threads should be allowed to stay.
The threads getting /ic/ to draw other people's designs while also getting people free fan art of their OC's in the process, though? That shit is a plague that should be purged from the sacred halls of /ic/. Indeed gentlemen, we hold only the highest of standards.
>>2992699
You are talking about the "my style, your style" threads?
Yeah, i agree with you. They look like the average user of Da, and considering the level of the works that the OPs show, it seems that it is not far from that.
>>2992699
What about shadman?
they're great but we seriously don't need THREE going at the same time. the latest one was asking anons to redraw some autismo sonic drawing. like really?
I want to clean this up and make it "pixel art", not "photoshop art". How do I clean up this entire piece without having to spend a fucking week doing it?
Note I already indexed it to limit the palette. It just doesn't look like PIXEL art.
Hire someone to do it for you.
Make the dithering more uniform, like a pattern. And also introduce more contrast and vary the hue in your values, I think it's called color ramp. I am not really into pixel art but I think one way to separate pixel art from "art made without AA and with a limited palette" is to really think of where each pixel is placed. Like if you move one pixel 1 px to the left it should have a large impact of the entire image.
