Is there any picture viewer program out there that shows pictures in a desired sequence without you manually creating a slideshow for it? I want to use it for gesture practice.
holy fuck ted cruz lost weight
>>3002907
something like this?
line-of-action.com/practice-tools/figure-drawing/
>>3002907
if you mean online figure drawing, use that other link
If you mean pictures from your harddrive, i would recommend the Autoslide from windows store. I tried a lot of apps but it seems to be the simplest and best one.
Getting back into art, what program is good? I used to use good ol' Photoshop 7 back in the day but apparently that shit is an ancient relic now
I purchased Paint Tool SAI as an absolute beginner and I've gotten so comfortable and grew myself into it so much I have difficulty imagining myself using any other program.
I'm sure SAI looks like an ancient relic compared to some of these other programs out now like Krita and Firealpaca but It's still so good for how minimal it is.
Also Photoshop ages really well. I don't think you would have any problems painting in PS7. Save your money unless you really want cutting edge.
depends what you want to draw
are you an absoulute beginner?
Get SAI, it has an easy to use UI and it can help you produce some good shit even when you get better
...
Actually just get SAI, CSP, or PS the rest are pretty lame imo
I still use 7.0. It'snot a memory hog like CS or some of the newer versions, plus you don't have to rely on the online version when 7.0 is good.
Sai's alright, and if you can find it online, grab it. It's a fancier version of Photoshop 7.0.
Glitch/databend/edit/photocollage thread
It's me or the bird looks isn't over the girl's head, I mean, it's overlapping??? Also, art/draws/illustrations that you look uncanny thread.
>>2996668
Yes, it's overlapping. Most likely artist drew 2 separate pictures and just overlapped once onto the other and thought it's ok to do like that.
Digitalshit - not even once.
That was painful to read holy shit.
This board has no respect for art. It only encourages you to draw bland anatomies, anime, video games, porn, and other banal fantasies. The old masters are praised for their technical skills instead of their expression of the spiritual. The board's name should be changed to /ic/ - Illustration/Critique like it's supposed to be. There's no art to be found here, only technical advises.

My first real drawing. What can I improve on guys. I spent about an hour drawing this.
post in the beginner thread
Anyone know any good forums to get actual critiques from?
this one . just filter out the shitpost part of it then take the advice givin. ignore NGMI's
Can anyone recommend any fourums for getting actual critiques on your art?
>>3002488
Right here buddy, /ic/ gives all the critique you never asked for
>>3002563
Yep.
/ic/ critiques are the most honest you can get, aside from the occasional troll.
How do I animate like this? It's pretty cool for a silly meme.

Obviously you need talent anon
>>3001441
Yeah but obviously just making some characters in Blender won't suffice.
I just wish I would stop procrastinating.

I have a blog where I post my work. However, only a small fraction of the work I produce come out satisfactory(10%) and as a result I don't update much. And because I only produce successful drawings that sets higher expectations for future me. Which leads me to my next question? Is there any benefit for posting your failures and keeping it stored somewhere as opposed to deleting it?
>>3001403
Yeah I just upload it all.
Your recent failures sting, but looking back at even the most hideously botched projects after a few years gives you nothing but some fond memories.
If you know why its shit, just work on it. I don't see any point to upload stuff unless for critique.
Unless you enjoy having an art improvement blog or try to gather a following with fanart or at least finishef pieces I don't see why you'd upload loomis heads on a blog. (I don't get LAS either)
I post everything I do, maybe it will inspire someone else out there.
I've been grinding 5 hours a day for the past year. Everyone is saying i'm making loads of improvement but I starting to suspect that they are bullshitting me. Be honest /ic/
This one I drew recently,
>>2999477
I drew this a year ago.
looks way more confident, but ultimately it's like you never left your comfort zone.
>>2999489
I did leave my comfort zone though, i always study anatomy and i'm doing colors now...
Does anyone have know of any good books on how to draw beautiful attractive women.
One of the best ones I currently have is Frank Cho's drawing beautiful women. I love it but I need more.
I used to love Campbell/Madureira/Noto back in the late 90's... Kind of embarrassing in retrospect, but there's one batgirl comic that I believe Noto drew, and it was so full of incredible, loose gesture work. The story concerned Batgirl and Robin stuck beating people up in a mall. I used to revisit that over and over. There was also how to draw comics the marvel way, but that did a lot to cripple my art in a way.
Maybe it wasnt Noto but I would love to know who drew that issue.
>>2998641
Yeah drawing the marvel way is not really good desu.
so once you have a reasonable competency at realistic head construction, how do you go about applying this to the cute anime girl style? do the general proportions of the face still stay the same? e.g. the length of it and the position of the nose/skull features? i know the facial features are smaller (nose, mouth, larger eyes, etc) and i know that the eyes are slightly lower down and a few other things but how does the general shape of the head change? the biggest difference is the eye socket right? its larger but lower? also how does the shape of the jaw change? i need answers to these things.
general discussion about converting realism understanding to degenerate gookshit.
Its not just about the head proportions, its more about understanding how this head is constructed and interacts with a 3D space. Once you have a good grasp on that, your cute anime drawings will become a lot better and won't feel so flat.
>>3001556
Calm down.
He's right, as long as you're thinking in 3D you're fine.
>>3001549
Study anime heads you fucking faggot
Is it okay to put my personal art style aside to try and make it look like the original art style?
>>3001522
Yes
>>3001522
yes. Especially if you draw rule 34 porn.
People will pay more for on model porn.
Perfect mimicry only comes in old age... Apophrades I believe it's called...? It's basically a retrieval of the dead influence.

So you have no curation? This is like a big invite in shiny neon letters to spam your page with porn, swastikas and pictures of feces.
>>3001533
Anon,
Though we appreciate your concern (and dubs), curation would run counter to our philosophy of Open Art.
The Open Gallery is committed to distributing art of any kind, even if no-one besides (or including) the submitter believes the submission is art.
Again, thank you for your concern,

All the artwork on that Tumblr is photgraphy, is there any other kinds welcome or is this some hipster bullshit?
