Questions that don't deserve their own thread
If I worked like a dog for two years drawing for at least three hours a day every day, do you think I would see incredible growth in those two years?
>>2985134
Depends how you define incredible.
If you actually draw everyday for 3hrs a day, you will see improvement when you look back at your old drawings.

Why does 90% of this board only care about digital drawing of anime?
Anyone got any suggestions or things to inspire me for a final. I kinda had one big idea and I am already using it on a life drawing class, so if you guys got anything somewhat good please share
maybe something like the debut burzum album?
>>3006170
I am kinda thinking now that I am gonna take elements from what people suggest for a big piece. The paper I bought was over sized and thank you for the idea.
Who do you think are the top 5 most important artists of all time?

hey /ic/, anyone know of good drawing classes a complete beginner can take in NYC to just get an introduction to the fundamentals? The classes need to be in evenings or on weekends though, as I have a full time job. I know the general advice around here is just read the sticky and learn it yourself, but I'm finding it difficult to trust the daily routines that I'm setting for myself, and knowing when to move on from certain exercises, and things like that. Money's not really a concern, I just want to improve as quickly as possible.
I've been considering some of the courses offered through the SVA:
http://www.sva.edu/continuing-education/fine-arts/drawing
but I'd like to hear if any of you had heard anything about this or other options

Why don't you just go to a community college and look there?

The first thing I'd do is learn human proportions, that would instantly make your work better.
>>3002386
That looks totally passable dude, keep it up.
>>3002386
Looks like you just started, try studying and measuring based on this chart
Anyone here have a systimatic way of figuring what you need to study in order to practice efficently?
Or really any kind of plan so to speak.
I love to hear what other /ic/ people do.

I had a question.
I currently own a Lenovo Yoga Laptop. I was wondering if it would be good for drawing in photoshop.
I currently don't own a stylus for it.
why don't you go to the general questions thread? maybe there are more people that like to answer obvious questions.
other than that: maybe buy a stylus and just try it out.
>>3005886
Thanks for the reply. Gonna search for my answer in the general questions thread i guess
i someday want to go into animation (2d or 3d) or illustration as a career, i really would like to make a good portfolio to show future employers and colleges. Any tips on what to include? pic is a litrle collage of some recent drawings and paintings i've made in the past year or two

you'd be lucky to get accepted at an art school with these. working at your skill level? No way. Draw more from life at this stage, your stylised drawings are high school tier
>>3005773
Op will absolutely get into art school based off of that. It shows that they know enough that they can grow and learn easier. Plus most people are high school level when they apply for art school.
Op I would recommend you include more life drawings in your portfolio when applying to school. Get some gesture drawings and another still life.
here is some advice from old David Lynch.
