I feel like this is useful for beginners or anybody brushing up on their anatomy

Looks cool. There is any equivalent of that for PC?

nah, not that I know of. this tech is PS4 exclusive
How the """"""mustard"""""" race will ever recover
The first is the pose that was given to me, while the second was the one I created. I felt as if an opposite arm leg kinda thing would lead it to be more dynamic but I'm not seeing a huge difference.
Thanks for rotating the pic 4chan, that's why I love ya.
depends on the context. If the character is about to attack head on this one >>3127609 is more dynamic but if the character is just standing around talking or is moving to the right around the character this one >>3127613 . honestly I kinda like this one more >>3127613 just cause the character is a bit more balanced weight wise.
anyway, truly "dynamic" poses have strong arcs to them. the back is basically a straight line in both poses, if you really want dynamic go for a big arc along the back with the chest out
>"post work"
>other person clams up
What's the point of offering opinion/advice if you're insecure/shit to the point you can't even attach work to your post? It's like someone telling you how to cook but he can only microwave hot pockets.
>>3127562
when I do post my work after getting asked I get ignored every time
>>3127571
post work maybe we can figure out why
>>3127562
Most people with any sort of online presence don't want to deal with vindictive stalkers who make it their new life mission to ruin you because you told them to study more Loomis.
What do you think of modern art?
Pic related went to art school, her mom is an artist and she ridiculed construction workers on instagram for being uneducated.

classist arseholes and red wine socialists aren't artists, they are worthless piles of shit
>>3127474
she seems like a prick, but "fetishizing working class people" is bad for artists now? I guess we all hate van Gogh because he was a middle class poverty fetishist, right?

Hello. About to create art.
what's best, upper or lower?
Thanks.
>>3127471
Upper.
Neither is better than the other. It depends on the context and what you mean to acheive. If you want a better look at the structures, do the bottom. If you want a more atmospheric view of everything (big focus on the sky), do top.
>>3127628
na dude upper is better for sure, gives the eye some room to go through before it focuses again. maybe depends on the room you want to hang the picture, but thats a rather weak argument to make.
>If you want a better look at the structures, do the bottom
thats not how it works
I want to go through atelier training without actually going to a school. Can someone give me instructions what I am supposed to actually do? I can't afford a school so don't mention it.
get fucked, more or less
the benefit of an atelier is the looking-over-your shoulder guidance you get
>>3127467
I can get a decent feedback from myself, obviously I can't think of better methods out of nowhere but I can tell when something is drawn badly.
I just want to learn to draw in a classic way.
>>3127459
post your work
Can i get some critique on this please?
yeah its shit
>>3127462
>Only constructive criticism
The colors are alright. The anatomical face proportions are messed up. Study chin and cheekbones
>>3127447
the color is cool
the left eye is fucked up
There's a hentai artist claiming to make $500 a month on patreon and trying to hide it from the military.
Artist in question: https://www.reddit.com/r/AirForce/comments/6w9kf5/do_i_have_to_tell_my_commander_about_my_second/
Does anyone know who this might be? I thought this might be a good place to ask.
>>3127428
Excuse me, but personal vendetta's and witch hunts are against /ic/ code of conduct. I am going to ask you to delete your thread before you receive a complementary ban within 1 hour of my post. This is not a drill. Thank you and have a wonderful rest of your miserable early morning.
Kek, that guy is fucking based.
>>3127428
>I have a redheaded character who gets in a lot of trouble, my patreon is currently down to like $300 something. You might find people bitching about me on 4chan sometimes, especially in those "did he make it/is he one of us" threads. THAT IS ALL I AM GONNA SAY
You already know who this is
More like this from different artists?

Death's best album desu
Listening to DEATH as we speak.
I have been trying to find a brush that is like the OK KO outline. Can I have help? I use firealpaca.
>>3127355
Show creators claim every frame is drawn in pencil, then scanned.
There's a brush I use that's similar in CSP
>>3127355
garbage show anyway, why would you want to imitate it.

dunno, but hado is a really nice fella
How much should I actually focus on school if I want to pursue a career in art?
>>3127030
How badly do you want to forever be in debt?
>>3127030
You should drop out, work retail (or anything really), and focus on art in your spare time. You don't actually about school and I don't blame you.
>>3127060
>work retail from 9 to 5 to afford living
>has 3 hours per day left to draw
???
can anyone help me identify what tool is being used here? it looks like a chunk of soft pastel in some kind of custom holder. if it has an actual name that'd be very useful.
Looks like your standard charcoal holder with sanguine
>>3127043
excellent. many thanks.
>>3127023
It looks like a metal holder for Sanguine (it's also used for piece of chalks). I don't know if it has a specific name but it's a particular kind of clutch pencil/universal holder.
For future questions please rather ask in the General Questions&Answers thread. It helps to maintain the quality of the board and gives more chances to someone with the same issue to find the answer.
I've been posting on Tumblr for a while and it's ok but I'm feeling that I'm missing out on a broader audience. Any suggestions?

Can you really not figure out on your own what the other major social media sites are? Do you really need someone to tell you that Instagram exists?
>>3126970
I use solely Instagram atm and I feel fine with it. I plan to open a Tumblr when I get more known.. at around 500 followers
I recently designed a schedule for myself to help me plan out during the day when I should do exercises and other practices to help me meet my goal of completing a short 20 page comic and make it decent by mid-December. For the month of September, I'm concentrating on construction and sketching, mainly focused on figure drawing. Right now, my routine would be to begin drawing sessions with a 10 minute warmup drawing basic forms, mainly cylinders and boxes. Then I'd move on to doing Bean/Robo-Bean exercises for 15 minutes, then doing gesture practices for 20 minutes, etc, etc.
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else in /ic/ also schedules their time like this, or at the very least what's your routine when it comes to drawing?
>>3126897
I could never stick to study schedules like that. In my experience it's a good way to take the fun out of things and lead to quitting the schedule. I think it's more important to just draw/paint regularly and be aware of your general weaknesses at all times so you are never too unbalanced. Having set exercises each day doesn't really work except for a select few people.
>>3126897
I'm still trying to figure things out as a beginner but what I've discovered so far is this:
First, it's best to have options. I'll come from work, and if I'm high, I'll go through something hard like beginning a Bargue plate. If bad, I'll force myself to do something, no matter how easy it has to be, Loomis potato heads if needed.
Second, an Anon told me to schedule my non-drawing time instead, and this one is good advice. Now I'm only coming on /ic/ o some days instead of checking everyday. It saves a surprising amount of of time.
I'm eternally beg tier so a schedule like dave rapooza's will never work because, for example, his schedule says "color comp study" but I 1) never learned much about color 2) color doesn't interest me as much as just drawing.I found so far that if I just keep studying a "schedule" makes itself for me but it is ever changing. I honestly think I won't have a tight schedule until 5 years later because there is just so much to learn so everything has loose ends.
