Post some miscellaneous shit from your sketchbook or whatever.
I did pic related for a thread on /mu/.

I'm actually putting together a lot of my sketch notebooks in a pdf to give away for free with some of my webcomic products/sell cheap so I got a lot of old and new stuff to share.
This was from around noon as a warm-up.
So, I chose business, I chose standard checkout.
It's asking for information like my real name, address, etc.
What do I do? Use my real info? What do you guys do for this? I just don't want to reveal my real name to clients.
---
Also, my plan is this:
Client sends me money, I complete and give them artwork. I send the money from my paypal to my simple. I then send the money from my simple to my personal savings.
Good idea?
what about a paypal invoice?

How old are you? 12?
You realize that you are providing a service and that you have to put your legit info behind that, do you?
If you're scared about using your address get a p.o box.
Can someone tell me how to paint like this
Give a chance to the book Color and Light - A Guide for the Realist Painter, by James Gurney. He's an expert at painting Dinosaurs.

Be a lazy artist.
Post your favorite art styles for Buildings, I like traditional architecture and for cities Art Deco. I really dislike Modernism/Postmodernism/Futurism. Keep that shit in dubai with the sand niggers.
im surprised by how there are no thread about architecture and envrioment, nvm, in love with roman buildings
>>3049333
i've always liked brutalism, although i think probably irl it didn't work out great, but the sorta bauhaus ideals really appeal to me, and i like how the buildings look. plus they're sort of like a hidden influence, as most modern buildings use many of the same ideas, just with more glass, and sci-fi often uses similar forms but i don't know if that's a direct influence or just similar aesthetic goals.
If you finish drawing something and you end up hating it, do you still upload it to your blog?
I hate everything I draw, that's why I don't have a blog.

this desu

It works to remind yourself (if you improve) how shit you were.
I used to hate drawing when I started, now I wish to not have given away those drawings without taking a photo.
Keep them, you will feel better after a while (if you improve).
how come we don't have generals for comics? i'm sure a lot of us are working on something
you do know that theres no thread gods who decide what threads to make? we are all just anons. i mean sure, some people specifically always make generals every time, but if people care about a general thread, someone else will just make one if the other person doesnt.
go ahead and MAKE a comics general and see if its something people wanna do.
Im making a comic.

I never see a perspective thread here! It is one of the most important parts of drawing.
I have a question that i cannot find online or in books. "How do you draw boxes tilting, not parallel to the ground" its driving me crazy!
To draw a human figure with boxes as a construction base, they are tilting, i can eyeball it but it will never be accurate. ;-;
Pic related.
>>3040221
There's literally a thread about this question once a month but it's never actually answered.
>>3040221
Get a basic 3d program and put a bunch of boxes everywhere and study them.
Can you show us your attempts at drawing boxes? Kinda confused on how to help
I think I'm starting to become a Fujoshit, why is is so fun drawing yaoi and cute boys?
>>3052056
you're a girl, right?
>>3052056
Embrace it, draw what's fun to you.
Embrace it.
Society has taught you to be coy, to hide your sexuality. That the only object of desire is the woman.
Draw those boys, draw them. Let the lewd overflow.
Hey /ic/,
where do you find IRL art friends?
I think it`s important to talk about art stuff with people who are also struggling with it daylie.
Where is the best place to find them?
Do you go to live study sessions? You could try there.
>>3051952
art supplies stores
cafes (or anywhere someone might draw at in public)
"urban sketcher" groups
comic/cartoon conventions
art classes
I don't think I'm suited for art.
I started drawing properly about a year or so ago, and I cannot draw realism to save my life. Save me, /ic/.
(Yes, I know the pic looks like complete shit.)

I don't see the issue here.
>>3051067
I forgot to mention that art was one of my hobbies from when I was fifteen, then I stopped at 18 because I just didn't find it enjoyable. 4 years later I started again but I feel I'm making no improvement.
>>3051060
>I started drawing properly
obviously not
What's he purpose in learning to draw if you can't afford an art school? You can't do jack shit on your own.
I hate it when people are fucked for life just because RNG made them poor (i.e being born in a poor family)
its not fair to bait this early in the morning. americans are still groggy
>>3050875
Show me one GOOD artist who didn't get any scholarship or mentorship from anyone and got good just by drawing shit at home.
>>3050872
you have access to internet and a computer. you're not fucking poor. start fucking drawing.
How do you transform the boxes that represent the ribcage and the pelvis into the actual body parts?
I have been studying Hampton for a while, so i have been drawing boxes, so the next logical step would be to make those boxes into the ribcage and pelvis.
If you have other methods of construction methods, please share as well.
>>3050634
Use egg shapes? Page 19 in the book show you a couple of methods you could use.
But these boxes should already give you enough information to draw the actual bodymass over them.
>>3050634
Don't think of the box as the literal representation of the body. Think of them as 3D grids that contain the body and help you judge the proportions and shape you need to draw in space. Construction is not the same as anatomy. You need to learn the body in relation to the construction.
>>3050634
You first study the pelvis, draw the box over it so you know how it works. Then you can rotate the box and place the pelvis back inside again.
It's not just construction, it's deconstruction>construction.
abstraction with 1 sole purpose -> to fry peoples minds
unlike vaporwave's obsession with classical sculpture

What can I use to make this kind of animation?
I know the artist just makes "one" illustration with separate layers (she uses clipstudio to paint), but what exactly is used to make the tiddies bounce like that?
>>3051547
looking at that i have a feeling it's done it a terribly time consuming approximation of the way people usually do it, which is in after effects, there's a good tutorial on it actually, on youtube, i can't remember what they call the effect though. perhaps look up the guy who does it for riot games, i remember he's a helpful guy.
For the best effect you need a weighted 2D puppet, the pro version of Spine can help you do it easier. http://esotericsoftware.com
