Next up is Larintach, a fucking badass minor character. Workd for the enemies of Biyrn, with eyre. Eventually killed by biyrn in combat, but only due to circumstances

Can't speak about how other's do things, but i imagine it's a little bit of both? This board is indeed really slow.

What i usually do is check up on threads I'm into daily, and maybe check on the front page of /i/ once a week for any new interesting threads.

I take a long time to draw, and i have tons of other chores and stuff to do in real life, so i dont have much time to contribute unless i make really bad and quick sketches, but i guess that's ok here, so i might try doing that sometime.

If a thread has many drawings by different people it usually means it is alive I guess. But I don't even know if this concept actually applies here since it takes almost 30 days for a thread to 404 and only a single post to bring it back o page 1.

and would do anything to get going at it.
Your skills are a little above amateur. I would probably do more figure drawings and gestures and head sketches from real references. Look for tutorials on google or youtube for art related stuff. Also, when looking at these tutorials don't look up stylized so quickly. Look up realistic head sketches on youtube. Stylization comes from real life

Her name is Wormwood, she is a destructive being made almost entirely of worms.

Despite being some superworm freak since said worms are smart enough to form a functional humanoid form, she's technically braindead and follows destructive/animalistic instincts.
I'm not sure whether she should be some freak science experiment or some deity lurking somewhere in the world.

Let's get this thread off with a shit sketch.

This is Choraeon, Dread Knight(aka head honcho) of the Order of the Black Veil, which is the main antagonist faction in the RPG I'm running. He stands at about 7'6" and fights with high-tier fire spells and his saw-tooth saber, Eviscerator.

Color scheme: black, red, and gold

I've been out of the art loop for about a year and finally decided to get drawing again and am developing a pretty neat story. This is the main character, he's a cowboy I suppose. Currently trying to figure out a style I enjoy so I know it's not the best. Farthest right is most recent.

Character is pretty cool though, has duel black + white pistols called Ebony and Ivory; Ebony creates tiny black holes to suck things inside and Ivory pushes things away with great gusts, so like opposites, black/white, in/out, etc.

[spoiler]Also the round guy with the hat in the middle pic is a character from a comic series I made when I was 12, despite this he's my favorite and I have him high up on my best OC[/spoiler]

[spoiler]and yeah I took inspirations from JoJo[/spoiler]

Like 90% of my artistic inspiration comes from listening to music. I come up with a lot of stories and scenes by imagining a music video or an anime opening to a track and then working back to the story. I try to listen to as much and as many varieties of music as I can stand.

Did you check the bottom right in the taskbar? There should be an icon there with three options when clicked. The three options are Sticky Notes, Sketchpad, and Screen Scatch. I think I didn't see it either until I plugged in my drawpad and now I see it regardless.

Your first Friend would be wanting to learn how to draw anatomy and atop that, knowing that anatomy well enough to throw reality out the window to do whatever the hell you want with it.
I'd recommend pintrest cause people have a shitton of boards with stuff on them, but (if you don't mind me pressing the button) I'll be happy to drop references and stuff everywhere.

Also, in the words of syrca, if you want to just do some doodoles don't be afraid to throw a few eggs at the wall.
