Why was Stalin so afraid of this guy? Why he killed him, even after he was expulsed?
Stalin didn't really enjoy letting political enemies remain alive.

Trotsky represented an alternate policy pole of attraction for the soviet union's nomenklatura. If he wasn't killed then the nomenklatura might return to the disunity of the 1920s.
The entire PC killed him, remember.

I mean just look at him. He's got that whole creepy child molester vibe.

Yet Beria gets of the hook? The guy probably was a child molester, he coerced women into sex promising to release their relatives before telling them he lied or they're already dead, then having them join him. Stalin wouldn't even leave his daughter alone with Beria, his security chief. The guy had his driver just aimlessly drive round Moscow some nights looking for women, and often shadowed the cars of other ministers relatives after meetings
