Why did the supposedly morally superior allies invade neutral Greece, instead of directly invading Bulgaria in the first world war?

Easy. Habit. Your mind naturally locks in on pattern recognition and then chooses the closest matching one. "than" is similar to "that". the difference is the last stroke. Jsut leik how you can raed tihs snetence esaily, The process of pattern recognition happens in the brain and your brain naturally chooses whats the most likely candidate for the word when that guy was typing :"tha". It could have been that or than, mistakes are due to imprecise nature of our human brain.

There was a great deal of popular support for the allies in Greece. Anyone who wanted to give Bulgaria and Turkey a good kicking was okay with them. The Greek Prime Minister was especially in favour of joining the allies. It was only the German-descended king that wanted to keep the country neutral.

they did not invade like germans did on belgium, they landed on salonika and then advanced to serbia (but serbia disapeared before that)
However, they needed somewhere to land and at the time, the gallipoli front was retreating becose turks had it very well defended and allies did a very shitty plan. there was no route to bulgarian coast.
they could have landed on albania or montenegro but greece had sympathy for the allies before serbia's last stand, after that, greece, albania and montenegro had sympathy for the allies
