Strauss-Howe developed their theoretical categories first and deliberately misread ("eisegesis") the documentary record in order to force reality to conform to their ideas.

Their historiography is shit, reductivist, and uses misreading.

Their history is a whig history of bourgeois progress.

They have no finesse, don't deal with racialism in the United States.

Much like Spengler or Evola they are fundamentally mystics for the lost religiosity of bourgeois society.

There is some truth in a pendulum or cyclical pattern to generations, but I don't think something this specific can make accurate predictions any more than astrology.
