So, I'm actually excited for this to come out. I feel like I'm almost totally alone in that. What are some good books /his/ has been reading lately?

Dyalogus Creaturan Moralizatus. It's a medieval book that some monk wrote about a bunch of moral teachings, it's presented as fables with animals n shit. Pretty interesting. Very heavy influence from christianity's teachings, the author often qoutes the bible and works about roman emperors, and alexander the great. Easy read, would recommend.

I haven't read a /his/ book in months. My last was Napoleon: A Life by Andrew Roberts. It was a really good book, l wnjoyed Roberts' style and l'm thinking of picking up some of his other books soon.

I'm planning on reading Washington by Ron Chernow next, and then David McCollough's John Adams.

>I feel like l'm alone in that.

Not anymore. I loved Europe's Tragedy, but had no idea that he'a writing a whole new book on the HRE. Putting it on my reading list now.

>Folio Society

I'm jelly. That must have cost a fortune.
>>
I'm currently reading The Great Divide by Stiglitz. Like most books about society it takes a lot from history to try to prove the importance of its arguments.
I don't think I'd recommending because I think it's not good enough to be read instead of something else, but I got it for Christmas so.
Overall I'm just posting because I like this kind of thread.

I haven't bought a physical book since like 2005, all I read are e-books. Pirated at that :^)

I'm not baiting at all. It's much more convenient, not to mention cheaper.
>>
>>555380
I'm not that guy, but how is it more convenient? I've tried reading some history books on my Kindle, but stuff like maps and illustrations are always black and white and don't show up right half the time.
>>
Hello /his/,
there's a 72 hour freeleech on Bibliotik and I'm trying to hoard some epubs. What is the best general US history book in your opinion? Would you recommend anything in particular for a European?
>>
>>555393
I just use a tablet.

>how is it more convenient

Not needing an external light source for one. I remember when I was a kid travelling on the bus at night and couldn't read shit because it was so dark.

Not too expensive actually, found the collection for $40 in good condition on ebay. I feel like it's gonna start a very expensive collection, though
>>
