Jap's DEFINATLY. They got kekd by the only nukes ever used in combat then a massive amount of their people committed suicide in the loss. Overall the Japanese lost more people and where occupied at least just as long as west Germany.
>>550657 >>550747 >Just bound to happen because their society was opressive with strict honor/morals It wasnt just bound to happen.
The Meiji Era Japanese was trying to ape the conservative morals of the West but x 2 and forced a lot of the "Degenerate" aspects that marked Tokugawa Japan (i.e. those porno woodcuts.) into censorship and shaming.
The defeat of Japan during the War was a huge BTFO to conservative Japanese society.
60's and 80's Japan was basically saying to the Imperial Period: "You promised us this golden era of Japanese Empire but all your rhetoric delivered was economic hardship and destruction. Fuck your prim and proper shit, I'm doing things weird from here on."
People tend to forget that Cosplay used to be very shocking for suit & tie Japan before the establishment milked it for its own.
Japan because US cucks but they recovered economically unbelievably quick. They weren't a potential warzone waiting to happen, and they don't have a ton of refugees like Germany. Granted, they have hikkikomoris instead but what are they going to do to harm anyone
>>551123 >have your fascist leader build cool monuments and organize rome-style parades and shit >get a few 8/10 colonial possessions >start a war, dick around the Mediterranean make some minor gains where you need lebensraum >get BTFO but a bunch of Greek fishermen, but it's not that bad since it's not like Soviets are on your ass >remove your fascist leadership yourself and avoid Nuremberg-style humiliation >after a couple of years of US easy-mode occupation become a decent democratic regime and a major industrial power
>>551207 Google is your friend >https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Censorship_in_the_Empire_of_Japan >With the Meiji Restoration, the focus of state censorship of information shifted to protection of the Emperor and the fledgling Meiji government. Ideals of liberal democracy were considered dangerously subversive, and were targeted with the Publication Ordinance of 1869 (出版条例 Shuppan Jōrei?), which banned certain subjects (including pornography), and subjected publications to pre-publication review and approvals. Initially intended to serve as a copyright law, it was quickly adopted as a method of controlling public anti-government criticism. If Japan of today had its society back then, its media-life would resemble Modern China.
>>551255 As far as I remember, Fukushima peaked higher than Chernobyl, but Chernobyl's baseline was much higher. Which makes sense as Fukushima was a much bigger station but the Soviets completely messed up on the treatment.
Lets make a comparison Japs: >2 atomic bombs which destroyed 2 cities, which are rebuilt shortly afterwards >no empire anymore >military must only be used for defensive purposes (reverted) >6 years American occupation >state isnt restructured
Krauts: >destruction of pretty much every major city rebuilt in the West, to a lesser extend in the East >loss of Eastprussia, Pommern, Posen (Oder-Neiße-Border) >military since 1955 >11 years Western occupation, 44 years Eastern occupation >puppet-states in both countries (BRD,DDR) >Souveranity in 1989 >"Kollektivschuld" however >Marshall-Plan
I think its safe to say that Germany as a whole had it worse, although West-Germany had it slightly better than Japan.
>>550518 Its hard to say, but the God's honest truth is, Americans and much of the white world during WWII didnt even consider Japanese/asians socially as the same species. They were some lower mongrel race, though however capable, and had little qualms about fusing their shadows into the dirt with atom bombs.
Turns out the japs are A-OK, and wherever the Germans go they must also genocide, except now, its their own selves.
